Audio/Video Quality: This Ain't Ghost Hunters XXX was presented in a colorful 1.78:1 ratio, anamorphic widescreen, offering as shot by director Slayne Wayne for Hustler Video using the 480 resolution and MPEG-2 codec typical of standard definition with 1080i resolution using the AVC codec for the high definition version. The pornified sets were average for this type of show, the lower budgets and time constrictions not as damaging to a sitcum styled parody. The editing wasn't as strong as the best genre efforts but the sex was edited pretty decently. The standard definition version of the flick had a few compression artifacts, only a bit of noise & edge enhancement, and proper lighting to assist in making the movie look more like the original, the show coming across as a new change of pace for the director. The SD version had a video bitrate around the 4.2 Mbps mark while the Blu-ray seemed to hang around the 15.3 Mbps mark, the resolution and detail definitely upgraded but at great expense.  In short, in terms of the visual esthetics, this title was another parody done on the light side, providing various double entendres but goofing on the show a bit too much to take seriously. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 224 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the score close enough to provide an aural experience in line with the low budget original series. The vocals were clear and crisp here, the original never much to write home about either.

Body of Review: Slayne Wayne is not exactly a name I have come to rely on for quality porn, never mind a sitcum parody of a popular show so when I heard that Hustler Video had commissioned him to direct their latest release, I was skeptical. The name of the outing was This Ain't Ghost Hunters XXX Blu-ray, a parody of a show of amateur paranormal investigators, and given his past I was sure there would be some surprises involving gross acts. Thankfully, the show ended up looking fairly generic in nature with vanilla sex, minor league dialogue, and nothing to make it stand out from the pack sexually or as a parody porno. The back cover described the movie like this: "The team from P.A.P.S. is on a mission to debunk, discover and dick out some hottest ghost action! You never know where spirits will hide in a closet, on a bed or possessing the body of a hot chick who must fuck!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Krissy Lynn, the cute blond featured on the bottom center of the front cover, was up first in bed masturbating, her juicy snatch taken over by a spirit. Anthony Rosano was her partner providing comfort to her, feeling up her breasts and kissing her as he lowered himself down on her crotch to go down on her. Her fake moaning was about standard for a newcomer though her hand-assisted hummer provided some relief, the pair getting into a 69 before some vaginal positions milked his nuts dry for the facial. There was modest energy and no personal chemistry here.

Scene Two: Victoria White, the lean gal on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up next on a bed with Mr. Pete, her black tank top and muff buffer blue jean skirt showing a lot of territory as she teased and blew him. The POV footage was truncated by bad editing and her enthusiasm was a notch higher than the last scene, Pete throat fucking her far better than a mope like Anthony could ever hope to. Sadly, she looked at the other camera and ruined the effect, Pete fingering both of her holes before boning her ass. It was a passive ride with modest aural enhancement, the standard porn phrases weakening it as far as I was concerned. It ended when he jerked off to her clamped down face, the minimal wad of genetic juice not eliciting a big reaction.

Scene Three: Kiara Diane, the skinny bleach blond sported on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up next in a bedroom, the gal stuck working with Anthony Rosano. She had been bathing and wore a towel, dropping it as her fright got the best of her. He went down on her initially and she seemed receptive, Kiara keeping eye contact with him as she orally reciprocated on his pecker. She only took his head into her mouth though and this appeared to frustrate him a little, the young lady remaining passive for the three positions of vaginal plowing until he unleashed his seed into her mouth.

Scene Four: Alexa Nicole, an average looking brunette (and only lady not shown on the front cover), was up next as she engaged in horny activity with Brett Rockman on the couch, his weird hairstyle making my gal pal ask me if he was a last minute replacement. They had watched the last couple on their equipment and got turned on, Alexa showing some heat by aggressively slobbing his knob. She divided her attention between Brett and the camera here but put some enthusiasm into the act too, this elevated the connection between them, the chemistry still light but at least the scene was worth checking out a couple of times. Her oral led to a modestly active vaginal ride and facial pop too, her groans such that she at least tried to give some warmth.

Scene Five: Sindee Jennings, the attractive brunette spotted on the upper half of the front cover, was up last with Kris Slater, the Texan taking a shower before he caught her in the locker room. Summary: This Ain't Ghost Hunters XXX Blu-ray by director Slayne Wayne for Hustler Video paid the slightest tribute to a mainstream show of any recent sitcum porn parody so I admit that it didn't work on that level but a few of the performances were worth looking into so I rated the movie as a Rent It. There was some unexplored potential and I admit that the high definition Blu-ray version looked pretty solid, I just found This Ain't Ghost Hunters XXX to be too slight a parody with too little to call me back for more but give it a look if you're a huge fan of the cast because you really could do worse.
