The Movie:

This 2008 film finds Jesse Jane back on top, both literally and figuratively, in writer/director Celeste's plot based movie, Breathe Me. At eighty-one minutes it might seem a little on the short side, especially when you consider that there is actually a story here and that this isn't wall to wall fucking, but hey, Jesse's legion of fans will be stoked to see their living, breathing, Barbie doll starring in three of the five scenes in the picture. Wait just a minute Mister Mooninite, you said this movie has a story? So it does, and it's not a half bad one at that. Jesse plays a woman who wants to live her life her way and doesn't really care who gets hurt in the process. This makes her relationships in life a little tricky to maintain, but she's the insatiable type and although her boyfriend (played by Tommy Gunn) fucks her as hard as he can to prove to her he's the one for her, she's not quite so sure and needs to try out a few things for herself before figuring out what or who she wants to do in her life...

Here's a your obligatory rundown of who fucks who and who they do it:

Scene 1 - Jesse Jane And Scott Nails: Jesse and Scott are on the couch making out. Tommy calls and Jesse talks to him while Scott plays around between her thighs. Jesse, finding it hard to concentrate, eventually ends the call so that she can devote her attention to Scott by taking off her clothes and grinding into him as he goes to town. Jesse returns the oral affections and blows Scott for a good long while before she decides to get him on his back and ride him reverse cowgirl style. He gets her down on all fours and fucks her doggy style and then he pulls out and shoots his goop all over her ass to finish the scene.

Scene 2 - Zeina Heart And Mick Blue: After a deep conversation with Mick, Zeina decides it's time to get it on and after she coaxes him up to the bedroom they make out. Mick goes down on her for a while which she seems to genuinely enjoy and then he plays with her tits. She sucks him off while down on all fours in front of him and she rides him cowgirl style. They switch it up a bit and spoon fuck before she pulls off to suck him some more. She rides him reverse cowgirl style for a little while and then he fucks her missionary style before pulling out and squirting across her stomach and ending a very nice, taut, hot scene.

Scene 3 - Jesse Jane And Tommy Gunn: Tommy's not happy that his woman has been out and about all over town and he makes that pretty clear when she finally arrives back at their place. He decides to show her he's the man and so he grabs her from behind and kisses her pretty aggressively. He sucks on her tits and she gives him head and before you know it Tommy's returning the favor and licking her snatch and fingering her at the same time. They fuck a few different ways, with Jesse breaking off for regular pussy to mouth oral action, and to finish it all off Tommy blows a load onto Jesse's face.

Scene 4 - Tanya James, Veronika Raquel, Scott Nails And Danny Mountain: When this scene begins, Scott's on the couch with the girls. The three decide to unwind a bit and try to get Veronika to loosen up. They all start making out and Tanya decides to move in on Danny he's been standing off to the side. Tanya blows Danny while Veronika swallows Scott's porksabre and each guy get to fuck the girl before they swap and then in turn fuck the other one. As the guys finish up their business, the pop all over the pair of ladies, hitting them right in the face.

Scene 5 - Jesse Jane And Diamond Kitty: In the film's finale, Jesse and Diamond get into a heated discussion that, of course, soon leads to some girl on girl loving. Diamond tells Jesse to leave but she wants one last tryst and so they hit the sheets and get it on. Jesse takes the lead and more or less has her with, using her tongue and her fingers equally, and breaking only to let Diamond return the favor and work her over. There's a lot of good oral here in amongst the finger banging and it's nice to see the two girls go at it without the need for any toys. Hot stuff!

Nicely shot by Robby D, Breathe Me is a very slick looking movie with strong production values and a good soundtrack. The acting is about what you'd expect from those involved - no one here is going to wow you but they all do a decent enough job with the material that you can suspend your disbelief for an hour and a half. The girls are all overly enhanced and the guys are all ripped so this definitely falls into that weird category of porn made with people who don't quite look real, but Celeste directs the action at a good pace and delivers what is ultimately an interesting and sexy porno with a plot.

The DVD

Video:

Breathe Me looks very good in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer although you're probably going to notice some moderate color banding against the grey/green backgrounds that Celeste has shot much of the movie against. There's an insane amount of detail present not only on the performers but also in the sets and backgrounds/sets used in the production. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is and it'd be nice to see (or hear, I guess) Digital Playground embrace lossless audio on their Blu-ray releases. Dialogue and music both stay clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score's resonance and bounce sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either even if there isn't a whole lot of rear channel action worth noting.

Extras:

As seems to be the norm with their Blu-ray releases, Digital Playground has supplied only one real extra, and it's not a particularly exciting one. The ten minute behind the scenes documentary features the guys more than the rest of the female cast though all involved pop up here and there throughout, including Jesse who we see getting into character and dry humping a chair behind a wall of gold records for a laugh. There's some decent footage of the shots being blocked and the production being recorded but it's really a fluff piece. Nice to see it in HD though and a few funny moments in here make it worth a skim even if you're never going to watch it again.

Final Thoughts:

Jesse Jane fans will obviously dig this more than your average smut connoisseur but once you get past the freaky fake titties Breathe Me is entertaining and sexy enough to be worth a look. Digital Playground's transfer isn't perfect but it's decent and despite the mediocre extras, this is otherwise a well put together package and one sure to please Jesse's devotees. Recommended.
