The Movie: B. Skow is one of the few good directors still with Vivid and is highly  recognized for his work.  His rather unique  style  is enjoyed  by  all avid  watchers of Gonzo which unlike  my  previous  review Shooting Savanna,  Going Deeper is the  better of the  two. Each scene runs roughly about thirty-two minutes and has a very nice   tease aspect working up to the climax. In using  one of the   gals  from his " Brand New Faces" series Hilo  brings a  fresh new look and  feel  to the  adult industry after only  shooting  her  third scene as  of  this production. Going Deep has a lot going for it and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!

Audio/Video:Going Deep was directed by B.Skow for Vivid,  was  filmed in High Definition, presented in  1080i High Definition anamorphic wide screen transfer VC-1 1.78.1  .The sound portion was good presented in 2.0 Digital Dolby Surround Sound. There was no echoing or any kind of audio distortions but with the  transfer I would have thought that the  sound  would have  been even better still. The  use of  natural lighting in  four of the  five scenes kept the  flesh  tones looking  very  natural and their was little  or no shadowing to be  seen.

BTS :During  any  BTS  from any  company you will always  find  some of the  cast and  crew  clowning  around on set and  just  plan being themselves. This is what you will see during the first few minutes. There is an interview with Savanna about her history with Vivid and her wine label. There is also mention of her up and coming album. There is an interview with Voodoo about his ten years in the industry. Gianna Lynn plays with her puppies for the camera and the newbie cutie Hilo gives   the viewers a peek inside her claim to fame with Brand New Faces.

I enjoy the fact that the majority of the film was done outdoors using natural lighting and the many camera angles used during penetration.Not to many performers that I have seen are into doing creampie shots and it was nice to see that in this Vivid feature.

What Didn't : Tanya James and  Hilo  although   are  brand  new  faces  but are a  way  bit  too on the  thin side. Both  these ladies  showed  a lot of  stamina  but it made me  wonder if the  pounding they were getting wasn't a   bit too harsh  for them. Girls  too thin that you can  see their  rib  cage and  pelvic  bone in my humble  opinion are to dainty  to be in porn. However, that's just one opinion.

Blu-Ray Vs SD: The Blu-ray images were smoother, sharper and richer brighter  colors. Every scene "popped" with a clarity and that same presence was  seen in standard DVD, making the scenes, whether daytime exteriors or heavily shadowed interior club scenes, much  more  clearer. My only peeve is with the  pricing on all BR titles,  be it mainstream or porn. In the long run, those that are  "spoiled" by the difference in  picture  quality will enjoy the difference. The SD title had five extra bonus scenes, unlike the  two  added on to the BR version.

Final Thoughts: Vivid has become one of my favorite companies when it comes to feature porn. They load their DVD with plenty of extras; sometimes not all of the extras are with the featured performer but enough to be a good value purchase. Going Deep  which is shot  by B. Skow could  very much  be one of the  best  gonzo  films out there today  especially with new comer  Hilo. I know how difficult it is for a newbie to make a dent in the adult industry among so many other established ladies. Overall Going Deep is one of the better  gonzo flicks that I have had the  pleasure watching!
