Extras: The best extra was not even present on the disc, 25:20 minute long Behind the Scenes feature offered up in a link, Mason always into the action she was recording, most of the cast showing how much fun they had on set. The reasoning was that movie contained so much material, the picture quality would suffer so they essentially offered it for free to the world rather than be forced to go to a double disc offering (my preferred solution). As such, I don't feel comfortable elevating the score for extras when one isn't included, but it was a nice promotional move all the same. The rest of the extras included some spam, a photogallery, and a pop shot compilation from the scenes along with some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Asa Akira Is Insatiable Blu-ray was presented in a decent 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as released by director Mason for Elegant Angel using the high definition VC-1 codec with 1080 resolution. The camera work was again solid with plentiful lighting to eliminate grain, video noise and shadows so the picture appeared to be in line with her other work to date. Mason has made or assisted on a number of titles over the years, the technical matters taking back seat (pun intended) to the raw energy of the sex, but her skill levels have definitely been improving with the camera too, showing she pays attention for those that care (in fact, most of her current works look almost identical to those of Nutsack). I saw no compression artifacts though there was about 3.2 Mbps video bitrate but the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the ladies and their well lit bodies. The compositions of the shots helped maximize the potential of the ladies too, rarely relying on extreme close ups all the time as some seem destined to do and the editing by Bossman Hall allowing her vision to remain as complete as possible. In terms of the high definition upgrade, it really looked better even though the SD version was very sharp and crisp, a testament to the company paying more attention to detail than their peers who release scores more titles (but not as well handled).  The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 256 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, the grunts and groans heard well enough but the music by Mybeatshop elevating the proceedings nicely.

Body of Review: Mason and the folks at Elegant Angel have been making quite a name for their showcase efforts in recent years, the simplicity of their movie covers, the solid lighting, and the almost flawless selection of the best up and comers in porn proving their instincts will keep them in play long after many others close the doors. The latest such release by Mason is one a fellow reviewer practically dared me to find fault with, the title called Asa Akira Is Insatiable. The amount of replay value, strokability, and Asa Akira fuck for the buck was the highest I have ever seen, none of the scenes disposable or previously released. In short then, Asa Akira Is Insatiable was a power packed stroke flick able to put most others to shame, my general appreciation for the attractive young lady elevated to new heights much the same way I have developed a fondness for the manner in which the director plies her trade so well. For fans of high definition releases, this was one of the best looking titles of the year, the lighting and camera work enhanced nicely by the added resolution.
