We attempt to cover some of this narrative in our newest exhibit, and explore how cannabis has walked hand in hand within the sex lives of human beings? “The human race has had a symbiotic relationship with the cannabis plant for thousands of years,” says an EHM rep. “Over the past 10,000 years, we have been using cannabis for medical use, as well as pleasurable, personal, sexual, and entertainment purposes. The plant has also been noted in the annals of history as the first agricultural crop, directly leading to the development of civilization. Cannabis has been used for everything from a paste to relieve labor pains in childbirth in Russia, to being made into a tea as an aphrodisiac for tantric sex in historic Indian culture, and a myriad of ways and means in between; the uses are almost limitless, and as such, cannabis is intrinsically linked to the evolution and development of humans on this planet.
