Fleshbot’s Freakytime Soundtrack: Ciara – “Ride”

Ever wonder how we stay focused on the lusty side of life day after day? Music is a large part of it! So we've decided to present you with a weekly song that puts the beat in our hearts and keeps our brains in the bedroom. This week's treat is a Ciara and Ludacris number called "Ride."

With lyrics like "I can do it big, I can do it long/I can do it whenever or however you want," some people might find "Ride" a little too literal to enjoy during sex—and believe us, we're not encouraging you to try—but Ciara's charisma in this song is absolutely intoxicating, and after listening to this song one or twice, we found ourselves uncontrollably humming the melody while trying to work.

And can we talk about this music video for a second? The dancing, the outfits, the deadpan sex appeal, and even the humorless expression on her face when Ludacris's verse starts all contribute to Ciara's goddess status. She's not pulling any pseudo-threatening dominatrix sass like Rihanna, nor is she using this stage to comment on the oversexualization of female pop stars; all Ciara's doing is flashing the goods, dancing like a winner, and saying, "I'll do what I want with my body, but A) it's my body and B) I could kill you with my abs." Dear Lord, we are so attracted to this woman and this song.

Frankly, we don't even listen to it during sex because then we'd be cheating on our significant others with Ciara. We would inevitably see her dancing in our heads.

Fantasy infidelity aside, we really hope you enjoy this song. Future Freakytime Soundtrack posts will be like this, and we'll do our darndest to vary the genres. (As much as I want this to be a non-stop Ciara show, I know when enough is too much.)
