The source material wasn’t the best I’ve seen from their vaults but the fleshtones were generally accurate even if the grain and video noise were far worse than I tend to accept as reasonable. There were drop outs that looked like the tape used to archive the movie lost a lot of material and some significant pattern noise at times but there probably wasn’t much that could be done with the original master tape so I understand that fans of Janine’s like myself will have to simply put up with the visual problems or pass the movie by (she was too hot looking to do that in my opinion). The audio was apparently shot in monaural with limited dynamic range and a droning music track but it was the overdubs that bothered me the most. <\/p>\n Body of Review: <\/b>Vivid has long been a pioneer in porn, starting the contract performer system and availing itself of various technological breakthroughs as times changed in porn. As fans look back to the older days in the industry, companies like Vivid that have performers when they were brand new are notable for releasing their back catalog bit by bit. As a fan of Sexually speaking, the show started out with a recap of the original volume in the series with Steven St. Croix rubbing out a load onto Krysti Lynn’s stomach. This was not a full scene mind you but the ending of one that I assume came from the original show. I’ve never been a fan of such recaps unless the entire scene is included but it gave The story then went to a couple in a field that were boning as they kissed in a tantric position as Kristi watched them nearby. Her sheer negligee was nice to behold but the sex the couple had was pretty tame as the gal rocked her hips to the swaying of his pelvis. Kristi’s masturbation as the guy kissed his partner’s ass seemed pleasant but again, somewhat limited as he ate a lot of hair pie. She slobbed his knob for a few moments in return with the couple screwing again for good measure; eventually doing some anal but not much. The scene returned to the roommates where Janine tried to convince Krysti to join in an orgy. After agreeing, the gals went at one another in lesbian fashion for the shortest of times. <\/p>\n Now, as a man trapped in a woman’s body, I found this pairing rather fun but it was far too short and limited to really get me going as much as I’d like. The caressing, kissing, and other licking was all in good fun but After the lesbian pairing, Krysti was shown to be far freer in spirit and a short trip on the road proved she’d be getting even more sex with some goofy dubbed storyline about her becoming much more than she already was. This led to the inevitable outdoor orgy where the gals pranced about with minimal clothes on though initially, no sex took place here. No, that was left up to Krysti jilling herself on a rock by a stream where Max Hardcore\/Steiner, a very young Alex Sanders, and another guy (Nick East or Steve Drake) watched with glowing anticipation. They did join her but the scene was pretty tame by current standards with oral and vaginal sex going on in the wooded alcove. It ended when they jerked out their loads and soaked her in the stream. <\/p>\n The following scene had most of the female cast in a lesbian tryst, centering on Mark Davis then bounced back and forth on Krysti from the cabin to a day time outdoors scene that looked especially good on her. The audio might not have been in synch but she was in fine form, nearly approaching Janine in terms of me wanting more. It was oral and straight pounding but again, not bad footage considering the cheapo nature of the movie and the time it was made in. <\/p>\n The last sex scene had Janine looking exceptionally hot again as she masturbated in front of a fire as she oiled her fine ass up and gyrated as she saw fit. It’s difficult to describe what runs through my mind when I see her going at herself in such a scene but it’s always favorable and as a long time fan, I’d be kidding you to say she would’ve been better with a partner. This being before most of her tattoos, her more wholesome look nearly drove me nuts. <\/p>\n Summary: The Coven 2<\/b> was worth a Rent It<\/b> to me and I could see why Vivid brought this one out of the vaults now that Janine is becoming a breakthrough star once more (in large part to her recent movies with both Vivid and their competition where she does men). Sure, the show was shot on a shoestring budget and the plot was minimal to the point of absurdity but I think as a historical footnote alone it showcased the two leads so very nicely that it’s worth checking out. Like many of Vivid’s older movies, this might not appeal to everyone but it was a classic Janine flick so fans of hers will need to check it out in order to fully appreciate her many talents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
