Those that read my reviews know that I'm not always the easiest person to please, nor do I see the value in kiss production company ass as others do. Frankly, my integrity is too valuable to me to squander on such stupidity so I speak my mind, take my lumps, and walk away knowing I tried to assist both consumer and production company as best I could. Having reviewed some pretty weak movies and toys of late, I came across one that was cheap, kind of fun, and had a decent amount of replay value associated with it, a device called the Wish Bone from Doc Johnson. The plastic box it came in could use some work (an over abundance of pink tones left me reeling) but the colorful ABS plastic toy had some positive aspects going for it that I enjoyed.

First off, it comes in two colors, mine being the purple model though a fetching pink panther pink was also available. It was phthalate free so no worries about getting coochie cancer exist, and it was affordable despite the obscure "N" batteries it takes (two of them, both provided). Granted, it was made in China like most such toys so the socially conscious might want to look for some means to buy offset credits like the tree huggers do on environmental issues but the three speed, water proof toy did manage to make Nadine smile for the 33 minutes the batteries lasted.

Upon first glance, the Wish Bone almost looks like a pocket divining rod, the two curved prongs placed to allow an easy fit for a finger. The on/off switch was surprisingly located in the middle of the toy (see pictures) so I cannot say for sure that it will remain water tight (without disassembling it) but the "O" ring seal held tight under water for several minutes, the noise level a bit loud for the size. In terms of the three settings, there was very little difference noticed between them, all of them loud enough to be heard in the next room over and each of them strong enough to get Nadine off with ease. The longevity of the toy was modest for the battery size but there are always tradeoffs to consider when it comes to toy strength vs. battery life.

We found that the toy worked as a solo device and a couple's toy that could be used on each other so it met the expectations as a couple-friendly novelty but not everyone likes the hard plastic kind of toy so keep this in mind when making a decision. While not the most unique toy of recent times and too small for depth queens, it still seemed worthy of being Recommended for the price, durability, and market niche it was designed for so give it a try if you are at all interested in this kind of thing.
