BDSM fans have long known that a quality toy will last far longer and provide more sessions of pleasure. This is one area where saving a few bucks simply does not pay in the long run, replacing toys is such a hassle just as disposing of old ones creates logistical issues (both environmental as well as the nosy garbage pickers finding your tossed out devices for the neighbors to see). With that in mind, I took a look at the Lollipop Crop as pictured below.

Okay, so what does a white vanilla porn lover like me know about implements of doom and destruction, of despair and decadence you ask? Interestingly enough, I have been friends several Dominatrix oriented gals over the years, both professional and amateur, who were more than happy to "show me the ropes". While BDSM has never been a big part of my sex life, I enjoy mixing it up in various roles to spice things up at times and have tasted, and given tastes of, a lash or two over the years. So what makes the Lollipop Crop different from the rest of the crowded field?

I'm glad you asked since I enjoy giving people a head's up about better toys. First off, most crops are made of leather or cheap plastic, the former needing more care to keep in good working order and the latter falling apart at all the wrong times. This toy is a combination of metal (the 21" shaft) and a silicone tip that gives it a longer life span as well as a truly decadent smacking noise when wielding it on your subservient little minion. The disc is bright red and measures about 2.5" in diameter too, just the right size to distribute the pain but not require wearing your arm out as a paddle can do (especially heavy paddles used in lengthy sessions).

Another thing I liked about the Lollipop Crop was the strong handle it provided with a non-slip texture as displayed above. I'm sure you could use it in imaginative ways if you like, the ribbed edges making for some fun friction inducing penetration should your slave get out of hand. I would have made this portion of the toy thicker for that purpose but just a few moments swinging it around and you'll know why this is a popular device; especially for those with a "take no prisoners" attitude that like to raise welts, like nobody else as they do the masochism tango (apologies to Tom Lehrer).

The price is conducive to the quality of the toy and it appears built to last a long time, the name not reflecting the nasty reddened stripes across your flesh it will leave at the hands of a decent Dominant partner (male or female). I know some of you prefer leather but the metallic build convinced me that it was well worth a rating of Recommended and I'll keep you posted if I find out anything more about the nasty little device as I engage in round two of my testing with your favorite testing subject later this week.
