Packaging is something that I really notice. Whether it's great, okay, or terrible, it definitely leaves an impression on me. The Nubby G sadly had the hard, non-recyclable, not very attractive packaging that I've come to see with some toys. I was a little disappointed, especially as this G-spot vibrator is from one of my favorite online retailers of sex toys.
Not one to judge a book by its cover, I opened up the Nubby G with a positive attitude and ready to get off. I noticed one side of my toy's pleasure nubs were completely squished and disfigured. It doesn't really affect the toys use in my opinion though. It's made of TPR, so a quick wash with soap and water and I was ready to play. It should be noted that TPR cannot be sanitized so it cannot be shared. But both water and silicone based lubricants are okay to use. The Nubby G is also water resistant, so a few misplaced splashes weren't anything to worry about.
It takes 2 AA batteries and has an easy to use twist cap with a rubber ring to help make it water resistant. Just be sure to always screw on the cap securely. To turn up the vibrations, simply twist the dial. The dial has a texture on it, so it's fairly easy to use even with lubed up fingers. The vibrator is pretty strong for two AA's, positioned in the tip to further enhance g-spot stimulation, and pretty quiet once inserted. The Nubby G has a circumference of 4-1/2" towards the base, but the G-spot head is about 5-3/4". Don't let the size full you, it's easy to slip in, but once it is in, you'll definitely feel it. This is useful for those who need heavy stimulation to get off.
The length is where the Nubby G and I didn't quite get along. The g-spot head starts at about 2-1/2" insertable and is about an inch tall. While this may work for some women, it didn't for me. My g-spot is a little deeper than that. So while the ring with the stubs may stimulate, they also prevented me from inserting the Nubby G far enough in for what I needed to come. I could hit the tip of my g-spot if I pushed far enough in, but it always left me wanting more. The ring with the nubs was really lost on me, as it just seemed like an annoyance because I couldn't insert the toy further.
I'm lucky in the fact that I've had some time, really great toys, and some really patient partners. I've located, pretty accurately, where my g-spot is. While the price is undeniably good on the Nubby G, I have fears that beginners will get frustrated, particularly those who have deeper g-spots like me. The packaging says "tried and true" and some women may walk away disappointed and even more confused.
The Nubby G may not have attractive packaging, but the vibrations are moderately strong, quiet, adjustable, and the G-spot head may work wonders for women with anatomy better suited to the length. All women are a little different, so just know your own personal anatomy before buying. I'm saying recommended for some.
