When it comes to a series like Primary, there are many, and I do mean many people who did not think that Casey Calvert had this in her. That was the buzz when this series was being filmed. I will tell you this XXX fans, it is what lack of faith by others that sparked my pen to make the month of March something that showcased the legends to be in this industry. I think this series inspired so many of those types thoughts within their brain and I think that is what makes this an even bigger accomplishment for Casey Calvert. This film earned Kira Noir her first acting trophy. Well deserved for a performer who has created wealth for every single company she has shot for. I firmly believe it was this film and this director who helped an artist like Small Hands capture his second performer of the year award. To earn a piece of immortality on the male side of performance, you must be a person who dominates, become anything and everything both behind the camera and in front. With Aaron, I think this series helped take his star to a higher orbit in 2020. Now, we get to see how it all ends and I will tell you this dear readers, I walk into this last chapter feeling very disappointed, because this is a ride I really do not want to end. This is an adult production that feels like a hybrid of great television, epic drama, fused together with beautiful sex and great performance. Will anything less than a perfect grade will suffice for the last chapter or Primary? Let’s find out if this series had the might to become a XXX masterpiece.

Never have I seen the modern relationship portrayed like it is shown in this series. Maybe in films like Juno, Young Adult and Tully we have seen something similar. Trust me when I say, Casey Calvert has her own style that puts this story right alongside those films with how unique the picture is painted of open relationships, pain and understanding, all with a sprinkle of fear and remorse. That exchange between Kira Noir and "Empty Streets" has been uttered many times before in film, in many relationships across the globe, but never like this. We see a couple trying to figure out how to love one another, themselves and learn to navigate the complexity of open love and sexuality. I will not repeat what is spoken between these lovers and spoil the moment, but rest assured, you will be blown away by what you see and hear. The Penny Pax and Ana Foxxx conversation about truth within ourselves, I have NEVER seen such a wonderful piece of writing in a film, not even one that was written by Diablo Cody. Casey, what are you trying to do to your audience? She will make you feel and see things we never have on screen. The one and two-way streets of love and relationships, they are an upgrade 2.0 in this digital age. Casey ties together all stories with a bow, making it something all fans will wish to unwrap.

The Encounter: 

The story leaves you on a high of laughter, deep thought and curiosity. This is one of the most flawless transitions to sex that I have ever seen with all these A-list players involved. Then, we are taken to this stunning shot of the couple we have been waiting to see together since Episode Two. Now you can let our voyeuristic urges takeover. The build up to this encounter began early in the story and I urge you to watch each episode previous to this one. What happens here, this is romance that will get your juices flowing. A sexual encounter where the woman asks the man to touch himself. This is hotter than hot, and proof you do not need to be step-brother and sister to make something taboo and sexy on screen. I do not care if you are a BDSM aficionado, this kind of romance will get you going. There are no “porn” angles in this end chapter or any previous, that is because this is an adult film, not a porno flick. These two performers are passionate souls in real life, I think that is what makes this scene so beautiful to watch. Erotica, true erotica, it was always meant to have this kind of reality. This is what the XXX rating has always been capable of. Now, is this scene worthy of an awards' nomination? Yes, it is, and I will tell you why before you watch. This is love making shown in a way that I have not seen Boy/Girl erotica display in a very long time. You have two of the best performers in the world creating this sex scene, and that is what makes it fly, no, soar in the minds of it's viewers, yes, even the filthy ones. Real life touching, fucking and passion. This is “real” sex people and I mean that in the most literal sense. If you were able to have sex with a porn star, this is what you would have, because as we forget so often, porn stars are people. What Aaron and Kira do here is so one of a kind. If you love erotica, voyeurism and the beauty of a naked body, this is for you. This is a sexual encounter that can also be for the perverts in the room like myself, do not think otherwise because I said the world "romance." This is a creation, that if you put your brain power into, you will see sex that is far, far more erotic than some taboo bullshit that the models must act their way through. Sex is something sacred yes and that is what we see here. That is what makes it so spicy! After I finished watching I asked myself, "is the Top Rated in terms of sex?" Hell fucking yes it is! A perfect ending to what is in my eyes, the best series of 2020. This is sex, performance and erotica that will change the world and I am talking both inside the industry and out.

Sight, Sound and Specs:

There is everything that you would want within a cinematic presentation here in the final chapter of Primary. The lighting is glorious both artificial and natural. I loved how this end scene went to so many different sets and each one had a life of its own. We get a cameo from the director in her bookstore. Everything is charming. Ladies, this is the kind of beautiful tale of modern romance that you can get every guy to watch, and watch we will. This kind of charisma is something that is brought to life with Casey Calvert’s pen. This script deserved so much more praise than it received. The fans of the XXX world, I do not know if they have EVER seen such care with a story and how it is presented to them. Casey Calvert blends so much into this last chapter. She keeps you watching and entertained from music to the melody of dialogue and sex. Cinematography is pure cinematic gold.

Don Juan’s Bottom Line:

What makes this series the juggernaut that it is in this critic's eyes? Well, we need to look at a few things more closely to decipher the praise. This is adult cinema that porn stars want to make. That is what created so much passion, joy and reality within this film. There are deep, heartfelt moments from episode one all the way to six, and they tug at your heart strings, as well as your loins. That is such an intense experience when you combine dramatic story, well acted and well thought out, with lust, erotica and pleasure. I see Kira Noir like I never have, I see Small Hands doing the same and these are superstars of the skin-flick industry. No, not anymore. Everyone involved has ushered in the era of the adult performer, not just the porn star. This is a series that fully showcases what these actors can do, because let’s be real for a moment, what these people are paid to do is perform. We sometimes forget that when we see a leg shaking orgasm, or a body as beautiful like that of Kira Noir and Ana Foxxx. These are people who love what they do, and they do not always get to make the films they want, because to make a living as an actor, it is exactly that work. Sometimes making a living in such ways, it is a dream but it is also still work in the end. You can tell Casey Calvert spent many nights and days writing this story. She had a, epic crew that could help her and the stars of the show become that much better. It shows at every corner of this series. We need more of that XXX because if this is what that kind of investment creates, then porn really is ready to get a piece of that mainstream due diligence it has been owed for eons. I was the first person to think twice with Erika Lust when she said that she is going to create a company that does things like we have never seen before. She is doing that and more. This is adult cinema that has everything fans want and even more than they could ever expect. That is what this series is and that is what this final chapter of the story showcases. Can you think of an adult feature that explains the way that we hear the things we want to hear, when we are not loved, and do not fully give our partners the benefit of the doubt like this production does? That is what makes Casey Calvert the spotlight of March. A performer, writer, director, who is evolving into something we may have never seen in this industry. This is more than a coming out party for a director who damn near perfected the art, this is a woman setting the stage for a future that is unknown, but something we now look forward to with Lust Cinema with more than just wide eyes and bells on.
