Audio/Video Quality: Angela 002 was presented in anamorphic widescreen with two options, regular and high definition (HD). For the purposes of this review, I used the HD setting and watched it on my computer monitor rather than shuffle it through to my large screen television, based mainly on reader input from my test run scene reviews. The scene was shot in high definition but the difference was minimal on my 24” screen, no obvious compression artifacts noticed in the totally black and white scene. There was some aliasing and the framing by the uncredited camera operator stuck with a medium shot between the top of Angela’s head to about her knee much of the time, some time spent showing her feet for the foot fetish crowd. The lighting was modest but ample to achieve an artistic effect, the lack of color throwing me off more than a little though this was a good test run for the website too. The aural components consisted largely of an uncredited musical score rather than having Angela provide dirty talk to facilitate as inspirational material, later solo scenes mixing it up better, yet her moans and the juicy sounds her pussy made when being rubbed should suit most fans just fine. The scene was streamed directly from the company website rather than downloaded, a valid option on Angela’s website, via a cable internet connection without any hiccups or problems. I watched part of the scene in the native box size the website provides and the rest of it expanded to full screen, the smaller box looking modestly sharper in resolution but both looking good though there was a prominent company watermark on the lower right corner.

Body of Review: Angela 002 was the first solo masturbation release on the popular Angela White website, shot a few years ago in B & W with the curvy hotty trapped in a large metal cage wearing a jungle girl costume (like “Sheena”). Having experimented with expanding the types of material we here at XCritic review recently to include individual web scenes, I tried a few scenes from different companies that I knew I would be able to compare against the DVD release, allowing me to adjust expectations to the reality of all the factors that impact web viewing. Unlike some of my more recent attempts to watch scenes, the handful from Angela’s website all flowed smoothly no matter what time of day, the curvy Australian hotty first truly capturing my appreciative eye via her first two spotlight showcase titles, Angela where she engaged sexually with mostly men such as Manuel Ferrara and Lexington Steele, and then in the more recent Angela Loves Women where the young lady returned to her roots by offering some very heated scenes with ladies such as Dani Daniels and Celeste Star. My libido warmed up, I knew that I wanted to see more of this wonderfully curvy babe without waiting for her next DVD release, some of the scenes observed resulting in making a wish list of sorts that I discussed with her for future DVD releases.

Angela 002 was the second scene on her website, the simplicity of staying with a numbering system escaping most others in the industry. I like the idea as it gives a member some idea of how much Angela has evolved at a given point, the scenes showing more complexity and depth as they become more recent and new crews are tasked with providing a wider range of fun. In 002, Angela plays a sexy jungle queen captured in a cage, struggling to get out though she settles for getting off as her clothing covers less of her body. This wasn’t a lengthy scene by any means and for a guy like me that actually watches porn, it takes a fair amount of inspirational material to trip my trigger.but this was not a bad start by any means, Angela climbing the walls of the cage at one point and rubbing herself to orgasm later in the effort, her delicious ass prominently displayed far too little for me though her face and boobs garnered a great deal of quality time on screen.

The website ever so briefly described the scene like this: “I hear the lock on the cage and I know that I am trapped. I feel panicked and claustrophobic in my confinement. After a struggle, I realise there is no way out. I resign myself to my fate and escape into my sexuality.” For me, there was no key point that I could point to where I would bet my life Angela had an orgasm and she stayed in character enough that she wasn’t smiling or laughing as she might with someone she really wanted to bone, but it wasn’t a bad place to start even if it left me wanting much, much more (no worries, I’ll be reviewing some of her best stuff shortly). Still, her moans and slapping noises could probably get a blind person off too, Angela cleaning it up in post production to have that effect.

Summary: Angela 002 by director Angela White, was a short solo outing that combined some cosplay action of Angela as a jungle girl type with the trappings of a large metal jail holding her captive, her sexual release handled in sexy enough fashion to watch a few times (at least) and merit a rating of Recommended or however you think a scene with some modest modest replay value should be rated. Granted, most of Angela White’s die hard fans will adore every second of the scene for all the right reasons but this was only my first peek into her website, Angela 002 perhaps not her definitive work to date but certainly worth your time should you join the website so check it out and let me know what you think of it.
