Audio/Video Quality: Family Comes First was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Mike Quasar for Zero Tolerance under their new “Forbidden Sex Stories” line. The lighting was solid and geared to mimic that of a contemporary residential house, some shadows allowed as part of this natural approach. The fleshtones were accurate and there was no company watermark on the screen continuously as with many other companies, the editing decent enough to get a nod too. The aural components were offered up in monaural Dolby Digital, the vocals likely captured with the built in microphone before post production processing, some interesting romantic music included though not credited to anyone.

Body of Review: Mike Quasar has long been one of my favorite directors in porn, his work for Zero Tolerance and sister companies rarely getting the accolades he deserved over the years. While he has always taken it in stride that others take credit for his works more often than not, especially when they win awards or garner nominations, his stoic attitude keeps him grounded. His latest flick sent to me for review is called Family Comes First, the movie coming out of the company’s Forbidden Sex Stories line that is designed to compete with other companies more versed in the “step family that plays together, stays together” styled vignettes. As none of my peers have commented about the title or line it comes from, I gather that the company has been tight lipped about sharing screeners again, the loss theirs when nomination times comes around if the past is any guide. Thankfully, they sent me this one to see what I thought, my initial impressions being it was well made, had decent casting, and was better than 80% of the market in this sub genre of step relations getting frisky; thanks in large part to Mike’s technical expertise and witty manner of writing. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: See What’s Cooking With Mom: Veronica Avluv, a curvy redhead, portrayed a stepmother to tattooed Cody Sky in the opening vignette. The establishment of a relationship was on the weak side, some verbal exposition leading to her stripping for the lad, the gal all over him on the couch in her bikini undies. She kissed him and without any reservations he kissed back, his hand on her ass in no time at all. Veronica covered his chest in kissed as she worked her way down his torso but it was Cody that gobbled her gash first, however briefly, before teasing her with his turgid pecker. Scene Three: It Was HER Idea!: Stevie Shae, the very attractive hotty blond with amazingly pretty eyes as seen on the front cover, was up next prancing around in a lime green bikini as she spoke of her step father John Strong having troubles with her biological mother. She sunned by the pool and cooked dinner, the pair spending a few moments at the dinner table establishing that the marital problems might be insurmountable as she made advances to him. Summary: Family Comes First by director Mike Quasar for Zero Tolerance was an appealing set of four vignettes about step family fucking, falling short of the legal boundaries established years ago regarding even pretending immediate family fucking is okay but pushing the company limits a bit too. The technical values were quite well done, Mike capturing the ladies well and polishing up the scenes better than I have seen at all but one company for this kind of thing, the casting of lovely ladies such as Veronica Avluv, Jessa Rhodes, Stevie Shae and India Summer earning this one a respectable Recommended. In short, Family Comes First fit right in with the crowded pack of follow up stories of step family fucking that has become the rage of late, higher ratings possible if picking better suited performers to work together and better extras are included in future endeavors. The scenes were not as consistent as they should have been in terms of the story elements or the sex but it was a good attempt to jump on the bandwagon nonetheless, so check it out.
