When I first heard that one of my favorite erotic photographers was going to make her directorial debut for AE Films I was very excited to see what she would bring to the screen. The true question of whether Holly's photographic styles brought to life in scenes works can be answered with a yes. I can see this movie overall being a hit for some and also not for others. For a first movie True Erotica is a really great beginning for Holly as a director. There are things that were a little distracting throughout such as odd lighting and shadows. Theses things by no means ruined the scenes, but they were noticeable. I personally like visually seeing the sex in scenes and some of the low lighting in parts made this a bit of a miss for me but it didn't take me out of any of the scenes. There are some technical issues which I noted, but True Erotica is a really great debut film for Holly Randall and I recommend seeing this. The performances and chemistry by all made this a really enjoyable movie. Especially if you are a fan of Holly's photography and the feel you get from them you will really enjoy seeing it brought to life.
