Hot blow job action and banal commentary mark this Vivid Ed title, in which sex columnist Tristan Taormino offers tips for cocksuckers, demonstrated by three pairs of porn stars. Pointing to an anatomical diagram of the penis (Oh, so that's the frenulum) and offering explanations such as, "The testicles, also known as the balls, are the glands involved in the production of testosterone and sperm," Taormino eventually gives way to views of some hot action. But she continues to narrate what we're looking at, helpfully suggesting that the blow job giver "think of your hand as an extension of your mouth." Noted.

This "Workshop" section of the feature runs nearly an hour, but in the second hour you can watch the same sex footage all over again without Taormino's commentary -- or any other interruptions. As for what constitutes the "advanced" element of the expert advice, it seems to involve standing 69, manhole licking and endless spit.

The guys -- Christian, Evan Stone and Danny Wylde -- stay hard while the girls -- Charley Chase, Adrianna Nicole and Satine Phoenix do the hard work. Chase, a buxom Rachel Weisz look-alike, is clearly into giving head and puts all her heart, soul and saliva into the task. Classy blonde beauty Nicole is big on eye contact and ball sucking. Phoenix, a spike-haired, brown-eyed brunette, also seems to enjoy her job. Both Nicole and Phoenix also get in some fucking on this oral feature.

In between the hard action there are brief interviews with the performers as well as other porn stars about what they like about giving or receiving beejays. The consensus is that they are good.

                                                       THE DVD

Presented in widescreen, but not in HD, "Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to Advanced Fellatio" is well shot and easy on the eyes. Lots of close-ups of cocks in mouths are the order of the day. Director Taormino is into split-screen action a la "24," giving simultaneous multiple angles on any given sex scene.

The disc includes trailers for other titles in the Vivid Ed series: "Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to Anal Pleasure for Men," "TT's Expert Guide to Oral Sex: Fellatio," "Midori's Expert Guide to Sensual Bondage" and "TT's Expert Guide to Threesomes." Other extras include a photo gallery, a page devoted to Vivid products and a segment on safer sex, which shows how the legendary if seldom seen "dam" is used (Saran Wrap, we're comforted, does the job for those allergic to latex).

                                                THE LAST WORD

Tristan Taormino does a lot of talking here, but alas does not take part in the action (like she did over a decade ago in a "sex ed" tape). But the six porn stars who do get down, do it quite well, and fans of the blow job will not be disappointed. If you need expert advice in advanced fellatio, by all means, listen to the narrated suggestions. If you just want to pound it, skip ahead to the second half for pure smut.
