Audio/Video Quality: The King of Coochie 4 was presented in a 1.78:1 letterboxed widescreen offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480p resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken inside the house, including some quality time of the ladies in skimpy outfits or naked, but much of it out by Tom's pool where the lighting was better too. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 4.7 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid fleshtones that appeared to be accurate as Craig Daze and Tom worked the cameras. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal (looking better this time though) but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part or at least as much as the point of view style he employed could make them. The editing was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor (the opening theme song appreciated though).

Body of Review: Tom Byron has always had a wicked sense of humor, his movies at Tom Byron Pictures often reflecting his personality more than many of the contract directors elsewhere are allowed to provide in their own fuck flicks. One of the most popular series he has going for him deals with his own royal nature, having been a performer for decades longer than some thought he would last, the latest volume being The King of Coochie 4, the sequel to The Kind of Coochie 3. As I stated last time, this was proposed to be a special volume overall, Tom employing hotties such as Sunny Lane, Trina Michaels, and Lexi Belle among others worthy of your time, money, and seed. Sunny Lane narrated this Miami flavored version of the series, adding her own anecdotes about the area with her usual "sunny" disposition. Going into the movie, I had a lot of hope that it would be a standout edition, the casting certainly providing added emphasis in that regard. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Chelsie Rae, a curvy little brunette with skimpy pink bikini, was up first after Sunny introduced the show in travelogue fashion. Summary: The King of Coochie 4 by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures had two excellent scenes courtesy of Sunny Lane, Trina Michaels, and Sasha Grey with the other scenes decent to okay so I rated this one as Recommended. The levels of fuck for the buck, strokability, chemistry, and genuine heat were a bit mixed but I can't deny that Tom was right when he pointed out how solid the last scene was going to be to me last month. In short, The King of Coochie 4 was as much fun as The Kind of Coochie 3 was, my impression always that a few scenes were particularly strong and the rest were good but not special as they could be. Check this one out and I think you will agree that the king has a handle on what he likes, just needs to learn how to convey it as effectively as he does with some of his other series.
