Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot. The scenes varied a lot in terms of quality with a few of them barely watchable and others almost average. The focus was soft too often and the problems with grain and color saturation enough to make me wonder what happened. The audio was in stereo English but sounded very hollow in most scenes. You could hear the moans and groans but this wasn't the best example of audio engineering at A&E.
Body of Review: Most consumers aren't fans of feature porn. That's the kind of porno that has a plot, typically bad acting, and has a lot of talking between the sex scenes. In Total Exposure, Director Nick Orleans sidesteps the problem of feature porn by shooting a set of seven scenes that are self-contained. The cast had a lot of potential too, considering such under utilized talent as Kelly, over-used talent such as Ashley, and others that have been hit or miss for me recently were present. If you can accept that some of the scenes looked terrible (in terms of lighting, grain, and other technical issues), here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:
Scene One: Every Woman's Dream: Kelly, the redheaded dynamo of sexual energy, her husband Hamilton, and good old Rafe, had a scene together. The sex included oral, straight, anal and a DP but while there was a lot of energy going on, the poor lighting destroyed whatever heat was present. She was a very vocal gal with a look that wasn't typical in today's porn world (where too many performers try to look like cookie cutter images of whomever is "hot" at the moment). It ended with a double facial to her lovely face.
Scene Two: Women Squirt: Holly and Kylie, a couple of attractive blondes, had a lesbian scene together on a lush sofa. They started off by playing with themselves before doing each other with toys. There was a bit of squirting here (real of fake) as well as some energy. Thankfully, the picture looked a lot better this time. Warm!
Scene Three: Nylon: Ann, a major cutie that has been working a lot lately, Monica, a blonde with lots of curves (real of fake), and Ben, had a scene after the gals warmed up on one another. The picture was better than scene one but worse than scene two although it was fun to watch once.
Scene Four: American Girdle: Violet, looking better every time I see her, and Joey, had a scene in a bedroom. Her oral talents were exceptionally warm and she did anal after a little bit of vaginal sex. This wasn't the best scene here but it too was worth checking out for fans.
Scene Five: The Hunger: Ashley, the leggy blonde gal from England, Sledgehammer, and Byron, had the most extreme scene of the bunch here. This was far from her best work but I enjoyed it for the oral and straight sex more than the anal with DP.
Scene Six: Sweet Treat: Mia, the cute Asian gal, and her boyfriend Chris, had a scene on a table where she dressed up like a young school girl and he coated her with icing (no, not that kind of icing) before licking it off her body. This was another scene that looked to be filmed under the red sun of Krypton and the heat was much less than it could have had.
Scene Seven: Red Hot Burning: Ann, looking better than in scene three, took on the massive Lee in a suburban kitchen setting. Her talents did not go wasted this time and her oral was the best of the show before she energetically rode him in several positions. She was also very vocal which a lot of guys like.
Summary: As much as I wanted to like this one better, the sad fact is that the best scenes were only okay and the worst were simply boring. With all the alternatives on the market these days, from A&E and others, I'd be lying to you if I thought it was worth anything more than a mid-week Rent It (or less).
