Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as expected. There was a lot of grain and video noise, with the flesh tones looking a bit faded in some scenes and looking far too reddish in others. There was some hot sex but the technical matters really lowered the pleasure for me. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English but I didn't notice any separation between the channels and the dynamic range was limited.

Body of Review: Lesbian movies tend to be vignette-oriented these days because the ability to tie a story together without a man boning the gals seems out of reach for most porn directors these days. As a guy that likes to watch women having hardcore sex together, I have no problem with dispensing with the dialogue and cutting straight to the chase if possible because of that fact. Sadly, for whatever reason, some of the weaker directors try their hand at writing scripts in such movies and the result is often similar to Whatever It Takes. The movie centers on new Vivid contract performer Kelle Marie. She is in a relationship with an unfaithful lesbian partner and the two try to work things out, having sex with all the women they meet in the meantime. If you don't mind some wasted moments of acting, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that the sex was pretty warm:

Scene One: Kelle, the blonde British new contract performer for Vivid, and long-time industry veteran, Alana, a gal that looks like Jill Kelly's kid sister, had a lesbian scene in a bed. Alana's crotch was looking a bit worn here and Kelle did all the work but I liked it nonetheless. Alana let her new pal lick her out, use a toy on her pussy and ass, and spank her bottom as though she really enjoyed it.

Scene Two: Tanya, the hot young blonde with a lean body, was up next with Alana. Alana sat back in a chair and let her new friend please her as in the last scene. Surprisingly, she also gave this time, although not much, and the two used a vibrator and strap on dildo to get off with. I liked this scene a lot better due to each of them participating and how vocal they got about the action.

Scene Three: Kelle, caught the two boning in the last scene and decided she wanted some of that sweet looking Tanya, something I couldn't blame her for, and the two had a decent scene on a couch. The lighting stunk and that impacted the quality of the picture but I still had fun with this one.

Scene Four: Isabella, a very attractive gal in a number of movies and Nikki, had a scene at a strip club on the stage. I liked that they were partially dressed and they both seemed into the action. They licked, sucked and fingered one another before using toys like anal beads as Kelle watched them from a comfy seat. A vibrator was also used to get them off and the action was hot (with more sucky picture and audio to contend with).

Scene Five: Ariana Jollee, one of the most hardcore gals in the business, Holly Hollywood, the cute redhead who always seems to smile during her scenes, and Kelle, had a scene on a couch. I liked Kelle's fishnet outfit and thought all of them enjoyed the lesbian antics, even when they used a strap on dildo and other toys on their partners. There was also plenty of oral and fingering going on with some serious teasing, and each gal got in on the fun.

Summary: I liked the sex in most of the scenes but the technical values, particularly the lighting and grain, were so bad as to lower my rating down to a Rent It. That's a shame since the gals all seemed to like lesbian antics and none shied away from giving or getting a good time (although one was stingy at first, I just didn't feel comfortable pushing a technically weak DVD on fans. If you really, really like the cast, check it out first before you buy, just remember how it looked.
