The Movie:

’Evil Angel Video’ (before they were Evil Angel DVD) presents the early feature from Bruce Seven… Buttwoman II: Behind Bars, debuting on DVD for the very first time since it was shot on VHS in 1992.

There’s a very silly story here to compliment the sex (which is billed on the front of the DVD as all anal, all girl (they got the ‘all girl’ part right and while the sex is definitely ass-centric, it’s not quite ‘all anal’ as there’s loads of pussy licking and fingering here, but I digress). Basically Tianna plays a female porno movie director named Buttwoman who gets arrested – she and Flame shouldn’t have done what they did in public. All’s well that ‘ends’ well though, because Buttwoman is shortly thereafter delighted to find that there’s all manner of kinky lesbian highjinks going on behind bars for her to take part in.

Scene 1 – Danyel Cheeks And Sunset Thomas: Our first scene finds Danyel and Sunset chilling in the bedroom, Sunset teasing her hair to make it as big as possible while Danyel looks on. The DVD

Video:

The fullframe shot on video production looks about average for a an early nineties feature. Detail is very soft throughout the entire feature but everything is perfectly watchable even if the transfer is interlaced and there are some minor tape rolls towards the bottom of the screen indicating the VHS origins of the film on the bottom of the screen. The image isn’t great by any stretch, but when you consider that this is a twenty year old camcorder production, the quality is perfectly acceptable.

Sound:

The English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track is on par with the video in that its low–fi origins are painfully obvious. That said, the dialogue is easy to understand and not at all hard to follow and the goofy score comes through with enough clarity to matter. Far from reference quality, the movie sounds alright.

Extras:

Extras are slim – there are no cast or crew interviews or retrospective features, just some stills, filmographies, text biographies, weblinks and trailers a few unrelated Evil Angel/Buttman properties available on DVD.

Final Thoughts:

Buttwoman II: Behind Bars has not aged well. At all. There are a couple of scenes that work thanks to the passion of the performers but you’ve got to be a fan of big hair and bad dye jobs to get off on this one. If you are, and we won’t judge, then by all means have at it, you’ll enjoy it but if you don’t fall into that retro/early nineties shot on video porno niche, you don’t need to own this. A rental might be kind of fun though…
