It's a shame that Private chose to release its Private Gladiator movie in three parts rather than one huge movie, since part two is where both the action and the storyline truly begin. At the end of part one, Maximus (Toni Ribas) had been made a slave and was about to begin his training as a gladiator. Part two picks up the story there, with Ribas planning to return to Rome and seek glory, both in the Coliseum and against Caesar himself (Frank Gunn).

Private Gladiator 2 opens with a hot scene that takes place in a bathhouse between the female lead, Rita Faltoyano, and another guy (whom I could not identify). Meanwhile, two women (Katalin and Black Widow) get into some lesbian action while Rita is making out with her man.

Scene two shows us that Caesar likes to have fun as much as his men do, as Frank Gunn gets it on with Tchanka, while one of his soldiers has fun with Esther Virgin.

Scene three is my favorite, not because it is necessarily any "hotter" than the others on this disc, but because the blonde-haired girl (Cynthia) involved is a dead ringer for mainstream star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Now I realize that a lot of porn stars look "kind of" like some mainstream stars, but this babe is a near clone! So if you've ever imagined what it would be like to see Buffy in some hot action (interracial, no less, as Julian St. Jox is the guy who pairs with Cynthia), unless you're Freddie Prinze, Jr., this may be the closest you'll ever get! Popular European star Sophie Evans is also part of this scene, as she's paired off with one of the Roman soldiers, while two female performers named Nike and Lisa also have a lesbian tryst across the room.

Toni and Rita team up in scene four, which occurs not long after Ceasar has discovered that Maximus is still alive (which happens during a gladiator fight). The scene takes place in a cell, and while it isn't the wildest coupling on the DVD, it's probably the one fans will most be looking forward too, given the popularity of these two performers.

Some additional sex scenes round out the film, but these seem more like "filler" rather than anything to do with the storyline. Part Two ends with Caesar discovering that Maximus has put a plan in motion to overthrow him, and fans will have to pick up Private Gladiator 3 to see how it all ends.

While Part One was released with a lot of bonus material (it was a double DVD set), Part Two slims back on the bonus material, although there are some bios, production notes and trailers for other titles. Also on the DVD is a behind the scenes segment, but this is the same one that was on Part One, so for most of the audience, this isn't going to be new material.

The video here is pretty sharp, although I'm not sure why Private decided to film this movie in the full-screen format when so many of their "lesser" titles are letterboxed. The audio is also okay – the English is dubbed and there is no way to listen to the original soundtrack with English subtitles, something I wish Private would give American and English-speaking viewers the option of doing with future Private DVD releases.

Overall, Private Gladiator 2 is more entertaining than Private Gladiator 1, and entertained me enough that I'll be picking up Part 3 soon to see what happens.
