Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full
frame color stereo. Some scenes were somewhat clear and others looked grainy with
bleeding colors. The audio varied to but except for some unbalanced vocals, it was okay.

Review: Vivid is undoubtedly the king of compilations in terms of sheer volume. Luckily, they are usually found cheap and offer at least something for a lot of fans. In Off Beat, Beat Off, the focus is on weird looking wigs and make-up more than anything else. I'm not sure if that technically qualifies as a fetish but some guys like it and getting 20 scenes for a bit over $10 is not too tough to swallow. The scenes ranged from quite a long period of time, with most of them coming from releases made in the last 5 years. Condoms are used in the newer scenes and only a handful have anal action in them but if the cast listed above looks good to you, you may find something worth keeping here. Rentals in my neighborhood go for about six bucks so I'd just as soon buy something this cheap as rent it. If I hate it, I can always sell it or give it away when I'm through.

The scenes were culled from a host of features that Vivid has released over the years and only a couple of them have appeared on other compilations I've watched lately-a good thing as reusing the same scenes really pisses me off. A number of them appear to have been cut a bit to focus on the sex itself-most of you will appreciate not having to sit through the lame dialogue as I do on a regular basis and I'd guess that at least half of the scenes had some warmth to them (as long as you're okay with condoms and lack of circus act sex).

Summary: Most people will probably consider this as worthy of a Rent It status but it did have enough fuck for your buck to merit a recommended for those without access to cheap rentals. If you like wigs and body paint, check it out.
