Extras: There was a 22:51 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, trailers, web access, and a photogallery but that was all. The BTS was an interesting montage of footage from the photoshoots, the makeup chair, interviews, and other footage; Tasha making it sound like this was something much greater than merely an extended toy commercial for her line of anal plugs. That said, I really liked the front cover, thinking it would make great poster material for Tasha and the rest of the cast.

Audio/Video Quality: Tasha’s Pony Tales was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Barrett Blade for Girlfriends Films. Barrett has been directing for numerous company’s of late and the results have certainly been a departure from his glory days at Wicked Pictures, falling just short of reminding me of the old adage “any port in a storm”. The limited story was written by publicist D-Cypher and the editing was handled by Sonny Malone, lighting by David Lord, Barrett seen handling the camera in the BTS footage. While I think every single member of the technical cast, even production manager Eric Masterson, has chalked up a great number of successes, this was not one of them based on technical merits, the lighting leaving all too many shadows and lowering the apparent resolution of the visuals in most cases, the editing on the choppy side, the special effect green screen footage looking weak, and the camera work pretty basic (at best). The aural components were okay except that the music was mixed in too loudly, the vocals seemed to be hollow, and the overall impact was much like the rushed visual images.

Body of Review: Barrett Blade is the latest director to appear under the Girlfriends Films label, his work for Tasha Reign far from his worst. Their latest collaboration is called Tasha’s Pony Tales, a set of five scenes were the attractive cast of ladies wore one of Tasha’s anal plugs while engaging in sex with a man (or two) until the ladies all got together for end ending lesbian orgy of sorts. Tasha Reign, Ricki Six, Jessa Rhodes, and Cameron Dee all looked like eye candy but their acting was as bad as the writing here, the sexual romps so generic that it kept running through my mind that this was really just an extended infomercial for the toys. The back cover described the movie like this: “Once upon a time four scrumptious blondes deliberately drank a potion transporting them far far away to Magic Pony Cloud Land. Anointed anal-plug pony princess, they hold court in a beautiful land full of hard, throbbing cock to suck, fuck, and ultimately conquer. From hot butt-plug sex action, to four-girl orgies, boy/boy/girl threesomes, and multiple hardcore boy/girl scenes, the pony princesses' holes will transport you to an erotic world you'll never want to come back from. Are you ready to take this fantastical journey?” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Tasha Reign, the fetching young blond seen on the lower half of the front cover, was up first with Danny Mountain. Doing myself a favor and ignoring the goofy dialogue leading up to the trysts, Tasha ended up by a pool with a noisy waterfall that covered most other sounds. She had already inserted her pony tale and began masturbating, her ample boobs already out before she released the string to her bikini bottom to show off her bald beaver. She rubbed her pussy and Danny appeared, his protestations falling short as she kissed him and felt him up. It was a pretty mechanical lesbian scene overall, even the face sitting seeming forced, the ladies eventually masturbating with toys next to each other before the fantasy aspects ended and the credits rolled.

Summary: Tasha’s Pony Tales by director Barrett Blade for Girlfriends Films had some sophomoric special effects, weak acting, and a silly script but it did have a bevy of beauties slobbing knobs, gobbling gash, and enjoying some vaginal sex while anal plugs were lodged deep in their assholes so I rated it as a light Rent It for their fans and aficionados of anal plug use. Tasha Reign was the most attractive young lady of the production and proved most strokable regardless of the circumstances she was placed under, the others like Jessa Rhodes, Cameron Dee, and Ricki Six, all making due the best they could. In short then, Tasha’s Pony Tales reminded me of the old days when the front cover really sold a movie until you actually watched it to find it less than satisfying overall. Leaving aside that it amounted to one big toy commercial for Tasha’s line of anal plugs, there just wasn’t much meat on the bones to last more than a brief viewing, my urge to speed through the five scenes nearly overwhelming even though I held out to see the better parts, as rare as they were here. Give this a look anyway if you enjoy the cast, just know that it fell way short of what I expected given such a crew of technically minded men and such an attractive set of ladies (but again, I really liked the front cover).
