Extras: This domestically released version of the movie had a digital copy and some DVD-ROM material on it (in French), the disc itself suggesting there was a second disc to be had in another region. Upon searching for such, I found that there was a different version with more extras but it cost a lot more and an hour of BTS in French with a trailer and biography of contract girl Anna Polina seems expensive to me (and you can get most, if not all of the bonus material for free by visiting the copy website at http://inglorious-bitches.com/making-of ).

Audio/Video Quality: Inglorious Bitches was presented in a crisp 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Max Candy for release by Wicked Pictures(though originally shot for Marc Dorcel in France). The big budget look of the show might not surpass some of the largest titles of recent years but efforts were made to include numerous outdoor shots and scenery (beside the ladies) that enhanced the feature elements of the production, the camera angles and editing more polished looking than the type of Tarantino flick being parodied. The video bitrate varied substantially but the DVD mastering was pretty solid, the limited amounts of grain and edge enhancement not as pronounced as expected. The audio was presented with numerous choices including 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround (all of it presumably handled in post production since little separation was noted when I watched the flick, in 448 Kbps); the languages offered up including English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian, with optional subtitles in Romana, Hervatski, Portugues, Greek, Ceski, Polski, and Dutch. The vocals were clear enough in most cases, a step upward for some of the outdoor scenes in the feature, and the music was actually decent but the vocals were dubbed (the English version at least) and suffered from what appeared to be limited understanding of what was said by the actresses. The mix of the ambient sounds with vocals and music was nicely handled though, while not perfect, it did indicate some talent at work.

Body of Review: Max Candy is a director that I’m mostly familiar with thanks to his releases at Pink Visual though his bigger works have been shot for Marc Dorsel to be distributed by Wicked Pictures here in the states. His latest if a feature tribute (as much as a parody) called Inglorious Bitches, invoking the fond memories of a particular mainstream hit by Quentin Tarantino called “Inglourious Basterds” (spelling verified for those paying attention). In the Hollywood version, a band of brutal American soldiers struck fear in the hearts of the oppressive German occupation force in WWII France, this pornified update altering the details a bit to have a group of sexy babes fuck their way into gaining useful information leading to all sorts of mayhem behind enemy lines. As one might expect of such a foreign release, the technical aspects were solid but the acting and language dubbing really took a toll at times, the eye candy of the women helping elevate the movie to strokable status, if not making it the advertised “top X-rated film of the year” as advertised on the back cover.

The company website described the movie like this: “Directed by multi awarded Max Candy, Inglorious Bitches stars an army of renowned beautiful and glamorous girls, Tarra White, Aleska Diamond, Anna Polina, Suzy Carina and Cindy Dollar, amongst others, who ferociously fight for peace. Explosions, tanks, orgies, girl fights... The 250.000 feature is set in astonishing decors recreating a World War II atmosphere, where two young women (Anna Polina and Tarra White), who saw their lover killed by the enemy, join the résistance and recruit former prostitutes to train to become formidable fighters, experts in arms and charms. Running a brothel frequented by the non-commissioned officers of the enemy, our ladies of the résistance receive strategic information by occupying and preparing a secret operation that could change the course of the war. Orgy scenes with dozens of participants, torrid threesomes, fetishists, uniforms and lesbians: all is here to make a grand movie.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Aleska Diamond, a fetching blond in bikini lingerie, and shapely brunette Anna Polina, were up first as they put on a show for Steve Q. in a parlor. Scene Eight: Last up was the big orgy scene. It seemed as though most of the previous cast, if not all (it was a crowded room and the camera was rarely placed to showcase everyone equally), as well as Silvie De Lux, Suzie Carina, Niki Sweet, Nataly, Defrancesca Gallardo, Denis Reed, JJ, and Neeo, were all pawing each other after a brief striptease showing. Some ladies made out with each other and others jumped on the men, Cindy caressing herself to get the general staff interested. The condom clad fucking was slow paced except where an act was being featured, most of it vaginal and oral in nature before the wealth of sperm were tossed on crotches, tits, ass cheeks, and faces in a mechanical fashion.

Summary: Inglorious Bitches by director Max Candy for release by Wicked Pictures was not the best feature, parody, or even foreign release I’ve seen in recent times but it had some strokable sex, amusing feature elements, and enough female eye candy (such as Anna Polina, Tarra White, Jenna Lovely, Cindy Dollar, and others) to merit a rating of Rent It or better. Rather than a pure parody like I’m used to watching, it had more of a tribute feel to it, the sexual exploits better than the feature acting but it is possible that the problem lied with the language dubbing in that case, the show was worth checking out even if you are not a fan of foreign fuck flicks. In short, Inglorious Bitches had a high end cast of attractive ladies fucking and sucking yet not spending too much time wasted with witty dialogue or clever banter like the original mainstream release, pretty much what one would expect of this form of expression.
