Synopsis

The DVD-9 disc I reviewed contains a full motion chapter selector (there are NOT multiple chapters per sex scene), a language selector you can use to choose from several languages (spoken as well as sub titles), studio contact information, information about DVD-ROM contents (none exist, so the feature is superfluous), two short comedic TV commercials advocating safe sex (Vulve Fiction and Erection Fatal), trailers for eight Dorcel movies, a five-minute self-running slide show of hard photos from the movie, two short (4 minute) strip-tease shows (I don't know the names of the girls, but they're pretty and sure as hell know how to strip and tease for the camera), and a 28-minute behind-the-scenes (BTS) feature that is called Making Of. The BTS contains shots of the girls being made up, having their hair done, and wardrobe; behind-the-camera looks at the filming of the sex scenes and plot development; some interviews (primarily in French; there's no language selector or English subtitles, but a couple of girls speak to us in broken English); video of the beautiful island location (indoors and out); on-set tomfoolery; planning of the sex scenes; glimpses of the very high-quality equipment used when filming the movie; and video of the still photo shoots. The BTS is very well made. But, the vast majority of the conversations are in French. Since there are no subtitles--and since I don't speak French--that's disappointing to me. Still, I have to admire the professionalism and quality of the BTS. Overall, the extras are slightly above average in today's marketplace. Three and one-half stars.

Final Thoughts

The best things about Club Paradise include:

• the way the girls often look at--and share their passion with--us, gonzo-style, even though this is a feature movie.
• the musical soundtracks that accompany each scene as well as the plot development. The music, which does not end when the sex begins, is very appropriate to each scene and makes the movie even more classy.
• the beauty of all the girls. My favorites are Tarra White and Jasmine Black (links to tits). Of course that's to be expected since I'm a breast-man and they have four of the finest you'll ever see.
• the locations. Sun, surf, sandy beach, and scantily clad babes. What a delight!

Club Paradise could have been better if:

• condoms had not been used.
• more English dialog had been used. Although there are dubbed-in English voice-overs, most of the dialog is in French.
• Loona Lux had been used to greater advantage.
• some of the camera movements had been less jerky.
• transitioning footage had been provided between all sexual positions.

Things I didn't like about Club Paradise include:

• issues with the dubbed-in English. Sometimes both French and English tracks are heard at the same time.
• Ian and Tony's failure to DP Lea's holes in Scene One.
• Ian and J.J.'s failure to DP Tarra during Scene Two.
