Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. This should come as no surprise since almost all porn is still shot this way. VCA is known for having high-end production values so it should come as no surprise that the picture here was above average with no observed compression artifacts and only minimal grain in a few scenes. The camera angles were not always optimal for the cast but again, they were good in most instances. The audio was presented in stereo English but minimal, if any, separation was heard here. The vocals were generally clear and the music not too intrusive for the most part. I'd have set the music at about 50% lower during the sex scenes since I hated the weak thumping Fred used as music but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Body of Review: When one thinks of VCA Interactive, they probably think of feature porn with condoms, rarely having anal sex and a bunch of weary old contract women (so I've been told). Of course, to some people, "old" simply means a woman over 23 years old (like they could somehow score with such women without large sums of cash, ha!) and condoms are evil (I'm not really bothered by them but I understand that many of you are). To be fair to VCA Interactive, the company has always tried to provide a variety of porn in order to service large market niches as consumers demanded. While this has sometimes meant less focus for the company, it has also allowed them to experiment and sometimes make great porn. One of the latest releases by the company, Surf, Sand & Sex Too!, is sort of a sequel to a long ago released movie by the company. It doesn't have a lot of plot or acting, even allowing you to skip those aspects altogether with the wall-to-wall extra, but the limited cast was exceptionally hot and the sex great. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that only one guy used condoms:

Scene One: Taylor, the adorable black-haired cutie on the front DVD cover, and Steve, had a scene in a beach house. Her lithe young body and all natural breasts were a sight to behold as she let him warm her up with some oral attention, which he playfully applied to her breasts, vagina and ass. She reciprocated with an energetic blowjob, leaving streamers trailing from her lovely mouth. Scene Four: Nicolette, the only enhanced gal of the movie yet still a cutie, started off this scene by masturbating on a couch. At this point, I'm ready to offer her free couch privileges at my place anytime she's in town. Evan, super stud (and fellow Texan) that he is, walked in on her and decided that she needed some of what he had to give. She agreed, and the two went at one another on the couch. I like Evan enough that he can crash on my couch but if he's in a frisky mood, he can go to the bathroom to rub one out (unlike Nicolette, who can stay comfy right beside me). By this point in the movie, I'm thinking that this minimalist effort was actually better than some of VCA's budget busters in terms of warmth with chemistry.

Scene Five: Serena, Katie and Nicolette had a great lesbian scene together in the living room after finding a large box full of sex toys. The action was a mixture of oral and toys with each getting plenty of screen time. If you like any of these gals, this is a scene you'll want to see. I'm not going to detail it lick by lick but if you like lesbian antics, you'll be using this one for a long time to come. Yum!

Scene Six: Taylor, still looking fresh and hot, had a scene with Evan on a couch. He licked her while spanking her a bit with the two getting into a sixty-nine position shortly thereafter. After an appropriate amount of warming up, they screwed vaginally and then anally with him wisely wearing a condom. She gave him a look that reminded me how much fun it was watch two professionals go at it as he plowed her ass like he was trying to rip her in two. He finished, once more, by popping off onto her ass.

Summary: I'm rating this one as Highly Recommended, based on the actual sex scenes and cast as much as anything else. The technical values were solid and while it had weak extras, I don't think a single scene here was less than good for me. Yes, I'd have preferred it have some of the great extras that VCA uses on their top of the line releases but I understand that the new ownership is trying to work on the various aspects of their new enterprise and maybe they'll realize that great extras are often the difference between a good rental and a high enough replay value to purchase. The chemistry between the performers here was the main difference between this one being so much fun and a movie like Summer Mischief , which was okay but not in the same league (although directed by the same guy, Fred).
