Audio/Video Quality: POV All Stars was presented in the same anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot by Robby D. for Digital Playground. Unlike some compilations on the market, this one cut right to the sex so each scene was edited to a degree, nothing crucial for the majority of rain coaters but certainly some of the footage I long suggested added to the fun factor of the scenes, no company watermark onscreen at all times for the small minority of people that absolutely hate them. Each volume of the series looked fairly similar with decent lighting, solid camera work, and respectable flesh tones but the scenes were shot quickly on a low budget which was more noticeable given the edits so your mileage may vary. The video bit rate varied considerably but the scenes looked much like I remember the originals otherwise if that helps your decision. The aural components were presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround but there was no headspace, special effects, or anything else that made me think the sound was rendered in anything except for monaural or basic stereo and then had a surround track encoded in post production. Regardless, I could hear most of the cast just fine, including those behind the camera when I paid attention, that always part of the fun of the series.

Body of Review: Robby D. has long been one of the most creative and talented directors in all of porn, his work for Vivid and Digital Playground often way ahead of the pack of peers that would emulate just about anything he did. I have not heard from him in quite some time but wherever he ended up, his latest release from DP is a compilation of his old Jack’s POV series called POV All Stars. The single disc release included nearly four hours of material, much of it strokable with a great cast in the 13 scenes, only a few scenes using contract starlets for some reason. The downside of this release was that the scenes went right to the sex portions, editing out the verbal banter used to establish so much of the fun factor I enjoyed when the titles came out, though I acknowledge I am something of a purist when it comes to compilations including all the original material. With ladies like Teagan Presley doing guys, Stoya slobbing knobs like she cared, and busty Gianna using those incredible boobs of her to apply some hand to gland and tit to gland friction, there was a lot of fuck for the buck no matter what you care for. Either way, it brought back fond memories of Sunny Lane, Teagan Presley doing men, Stoya when she was into the whole scene, and others in their prime so check out POV All Stars if you can as a good collection of often wonderful scenes, the edits and lack of anything new hindering the rating but not diminishing the value of the project.
