Audio/Video Quality: The Flying Pink Pig was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Erica McLean for Metro/Cal Vista/ Cheeky Monkey. While the cover stated it was shot in high definition, the actual resolution was only 720p and then it was down converted to this standard definition offering but frankly, the end result was pretty clear and crisp all the same. The editing was definitely choppy at times, almost as if the show was going for a rougher look, but the lighting was decent and the camera work seemed pretty solid, the composition of the camera angles enhancing the look of the ladies in most cases (despite some cramped quarters for fucking). The flesh tones were accurate and I saw few compression artifacts or video noise, the video bitrate hovering around the 5.8 Mbps when I spot checked the screener copy that came in for review. The audio was offered up in a Dolby Digital 2.0 with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 224 Kbps. The aural qualities were modest to say the least but the theme song should definitely be a contender later this year for the AVN awards. There was no discernable separation in the channels and some outside noises were present at times, pretty much what was expected with some over the top special effects that provided some cheese factor.

Nicki Hunter with Lee Stone

Body of Review: Erica McLean is best known for her work on the Hustler Barely Legal series both with and without her deceased husband. These days, she appears to be a travelling director for hire, picked up by Metro for certain key projects to revive their status as a player in the industry (after a lengthy bout of compilations and mostly low end works). Her latest movie is called The Flying Pink Pig, so named after a gimmick-based roach coach found in the southern California area. Most working class people are familiar with the catering company meals on wheels that populate urban areas, typically found near construction sites and areas where people grab a quick bite during lunch before going back to work. The movie follows a generic plot where an evil moneyman (Ron Jeremy) tries to horn in on the action of a young entrepreneur (Sunny Lane), the outcome as predictable as the level of acting and technical work. The big draw of the movie for me was seeing Sunny Lane again, Nikki Hunter and Shayla LaVeaux also welcome for old time sake, my belief that the sex would be what most refer to as “feature sex” limiting the replay value for the rest substantially. The company website described the movie like this: “You've seen the news, You've heard about the possible lawsuit, Now see the movie that caused all the Controversy! It’s what’s NOT on the menu that makes the Flying Pink Pig the tastiest ‘meals on wheels’ in town. Sunny Lane and her girls are serving it up hot and juicy with a smile, while the villainous Ron Jeremy and his cohort, Nicki Hunter , stop at nothing to get a piece of the action!” Here’s a very brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Shayla LaVeaux and Sunny Lane with Nick Manning

Scene One: Megan Foxx, the cute brunette seen on the upper right portion of the front cover, was up first making a delivery to guitar playing Tommy Gunn, a taste of the special sauce on a carrot helping him find his mojo. She caressed him and they kissed, her Hooters-inspired outfit hugging her lithe form as she knelt to give him a mechanical blowjob. The use of multiple cameras gave the effort some added appeal except that it cut away in an untimely manner too often, the pacing messed up by editing as she worked away on his knob. This led to a handful of vaginal positions where she let him do all the work until she was on top of him, Tommy soon busting a nut of genetic juice on her crotch.

Emy Reyes with Niko

Scene Two: Sasha Heart, a skinny gal with a Mohawk haircut, was up next as she flashed her tits on a delivery to pilot Michael Vegas, the sauce activating his libido as she bent over to slob his knob. He orally reciprocated and rubbed her pussy & ass, the two then going for it vaginally with a few penetrative positions. She was largely passive during the boning except when on top, the lack of chemistry between them similar to the last scene. It ended when he beat off to the top of her hair, giving her a “new hairdo” as she put it with a smile.

The Extras

Scene Three: Nicki Hunter, the busty woman seen on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up next as she enticed muscular Lee Stone into her roach coach to play in the cramped quarters. He tore her top off and then her shorts, spanking her as he went down on her curvy ass from behind. He had some of the missing enthusiasm the previous scenes lacked so much, Nicki rubbing her pussy as he fingered her until it was time to show the world that she was fully recovered from her recent illness. She throated him with ease and had fun with it, the fun factor enhanced by the chemistry between them. They screwed vaginally before some modest anal (modest for her; she was well known as an extreme queen for years in how she attacked cock in all sorts of deviant manners), the intermittent taste testing livening things up until he jerked off to his own yellow hard hat and her face, Nicki licking up the proceeds.

Scene Four: Sunny Lane, the fetching young hotty featured on the left side of the cover, was up next as she was sampled by fan-favorite Shayla LaVeaux, both of them jumping on the couch with Nick Manning to start kissing. Sunny looked ripe and perfect with her ass in the air, any hints of the rumored weight problem clearly exaggerated as she pranced around in her sexy black and pink lingerie. Shyla wore a green and gold sun dress but frankly, it looked better on the floor with her white thong separating her ass cheeks, Nick savoring the taste of their tits before they engaged in slobbing his knob together. Sunny sucked the head a little while Shayla sat on his face for some loving, Sunny then actively riding his pecker as her aging pal swapped places and offered up a lot of dirty talk. Nick finally spoke up with his trademarked comments when rubbing out a wad of population pudding to their faces, the ladies cumswapping and kissing until the camera faded out.

Scene Five: Emy Reyes, the cheeky Latina spotted on the middle of the front cover, was up last in an anticlimactic scene with muscular Niko. He portrayed a movie star and she was excited to see him, Emy jumping around as she sang his praises before they kissed. He took off his shirt and she liked what she saw, her ass cheeks hanging out of her neon pink skirt for him to kiss as he worked over her body a little bit. She rubbed on him and blew him aggressively, the scene moving forth into some vaginal penetration positions where she did some oral between the active riding positions, Emy over acting until he bust a nut of spunk onto her face.

Summary: The Flying Pink Pig by director Erica McLean for Metro was a cute, low budget feature with enough appeal to merit a rating of lightly Recommended for its target audience of couples and women that are not wanting to see really hardcore action. Nicki was the only one to do anal, all of the scenes were short compared to most gonzo, and whatever shortcomings I could come up with by dissecting it in detail really shouldn’t matter to a casual porn viewer. In short, The Flying Pink Pig had some entertainment value and was welcome even as a screener copy (the words repeatedly crossing the television screen on a regular basis) but you may want to check out a second opinion from someone in the target audience by reading Ravyn’s look at the flick where she affords it a much more favorable response than I could possible offer; my contention that porn is a majority of one holding just as true now as it has over the years I’ve enjoyed the genre. Sunny was as cute as ever, the rest of the cast seemed to fit in (with limited exceptions), and the pop up bubbles added in were amusing enough to help cover up the clumsy editing and rushed atmosphere of the project so give it a look. It could have easily fit on a single disc without trouble but maybe the sequel will offer better amounts of fuck for the buck by filling both discs as a gesture towards consumers still willing to shell out money for porn (since the scenes did not work as well by themselves).
