Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Sadly, it looked really weak compared to other VCA releases made at the same time. The lighting wasn't optimal and the picture looked dark and grainy much of the time. The colors were also off and the compression/motion artifacts troublesome. The audio was hollow and uneven which didn't help matters any.

Body of Review: A number of fans, myself included, choose porn movies based as much on who directs as who the performers are. Certain directors tend to make better porn or at least gear their films towards what works for us. One of my favorite directors due to his honesty and willingness to discuss the industry in a funny, yet fair, manner is Jimmy DiGiorgio. I remember the first movie of his I reviewed, Sopornos 2, which was really good. I've also run across a number of his ultra low budget movies, like the subject of this review, Strip Club Tails, which weren't very good at all.

The movie is a group of barely related sex scenes using the set from the Sopornos 2 movie that was made at the same time. I think if Jimmy had kept the Sopornos theme and let the performers stay in character for this one, it might've been better. As it turned out, it seemed like a movie made in less than a day with virtually no budget to speak of. Dancers having sex for no real reason other than it's a porno was the theme here. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that all scenes used condoms:

Scene One: Dru, after giving a decent pole dance, did Rafe in the abandoned strip club. Oral, straight, and a touch of anal with little heat. Pass.

Scene Two: Lizzy, a gal I don't recall seeing in awhile, and Herschel, had a scene in the bathroom. It wasn't bad but this combination of performers really didn't do much for me. They also had some anal but it was slow and cautious which is not the balls-to-the-wall type of sex most people care to see (unless they're watching an Adam & Eve movie). Fair.

Scene Three: Kendra, the best-looking gal in the movie by far, and Tony, had a scene at the bar. While her implants/breasts didn't look good here (blemishes?) the sex wasn't bad at all. The best scene here but still not as good as I'm used to from VCA.

Scene Four: Allysin, a blonde with large curves, and Axl, had a scene in a jail cell. I didn't like her implants either but the sex was okay and included anal. Fair.

Scene Five: Kali, looking much like a gal you'd take home at closing time, and Herschel, had a scene on the strip club floor. Not overly energetic and no chemistry to speak of with a bit of anal after the oral and straight sex.

Summary: As much as I like Jimmy and some of his body of work, the best this one would rate, and that would be for fans of the performers only, would be a rental. For the vast majority of the population though, it's a Skip It. The production values, the cast and the nature of the beast here made it one to pass up.
