Another Robby D. production through Digital Playground, Bad Girls 2 doesn't have much of a story to talk about but each scene gets a basic set up before turning into full on fuck frenzy. In typical Robby D. style, it's a glossy looking film with nice production values, slick lighting and good production design. Those who have seen his output know what to expect, as his camera work is always top notch and he's got a real knack for presenting the DP girls in the best light possible. There's a lot of that on display here in this feature, which serves as almost a promo reel in the sense that it features a few of the studio's up and coming stars.

Scene 1 - Diamond Kitty And A Mystery Man: Ms. Kitty comes home after what we assume was a hard day's work. Bad Girls 2 looks very good in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Thankfully Robby D. chose to light this in a fairly natural style, so skin looks like skin and the image is impressively crisp and natural looking. There's a very good amount of detail present not only on the performers but also in the sets and backgrounds/sets used in the production. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there and some minor banding but you do have to be looking for it to notice it. This is a well authored disc of some very clean and nice looking source material.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is and it'd be nice to see Digital Playground embrace lossless audio on their Blu-ray releases. Dialogue and music both stay clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score is strong, nice and lively and well balanced, and the dialogue, which is actually important at times, is never hard to follow. It'd be nice to hear an HD audio mix on this or any other Digital Playground Blu-ray releases, but that didn't happen.

Extras:

Motion menus, a bunch of Digital Playground trailers (in HD), a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection are the only supplements on this release. The typical Digital Playground behind the scenes featurette is nowhere to be found, making this almost a barebones release as all of the 'extra' material here is promotional in nature.

Final Thoughts:

Bad Girls 2 may not feature a Stoya or a Jesse Jane but it does give some of Digital Playground's up and coming stars a chance to shine, which is a very good thing indeed. The sex is consistently hot and nicely shot and the production values are strong from start to finish. Here's hoping we see more from all involved in the years to come, particularly Diamond Kitty and, of course, Riley Steele. The Blu-ray release is essentially barebones, which is a disappointment, but at least it looks and sounds good. Recommended.
