Scene 1:

Gianna Dior’s performance is unforgettable. Stags & Vixens 2 opens up strong by pairing veteran superstar James Deen with the young and startlingly talented Dior.

The story flirts with a dominance and submission concept but doesn’t fall into the increasingly tired trap of a 50 Shades tale. Dior’s husband has set her up for a “training session” with James Deen because she cums too easily. Talk about first-world problems. I think it’s an issue of bedroom endurance, it’s not quite clear, but that makes sense in the greater context of the scene.

Each sex act and position is captured from a plethora of angles that cut, ebb and flow with Dior and Deen’s sexual rhythm. It is true visual storytelling that enhances the sex and makes it truly compelling. It’s not just the angles on-location. You can tell lots of time was spent in the editing room getting the timing just right.

There are elements that some fans may struggle with. Although the scene is clearly consensual, Deen does not hold back his inner dom. He spits in her face, chokes and slaps Gianna throughout the scene. It isn’t over the top and only happens occasionally.

This scene serves as this reviewer's introduction to the pornography of Gianna Dior. It is an impressive start to what might be a spectacular career. If she continues to deliver scenes of this caliber, then we could be witnessing a next-gen A-lister and a real credit to the art.

Scene 2:

Here’s a concept. Luna Star’s husband has left on a last-minute business trip. Knowing his wife, he left a note that a very special man will be arriving to handle her in his absence. He leaves a specific set of lingerie for her to wear before Ramon Nomar arrives. What a guy.

All of this exposition comes in the form of a perfectly enunciated voiceover by the ten-time nominated AVN vixen. Beyond the talkover, there isn’t a lick of dialogue once Nomar arrives. He knows he’s there to fuck Luna and that’s exactly what he does.

Before diving into the review, we’ve got to discuss the weird synth-pad background music. It feels like the “wondrous” moments of the 1995 video game collaboration The Dig between Alan Dean Foster and Steven Spielberg. I’m not saying it’s bad, but the alien landscapes it evokes doesn’t pair with the sexual deviance we’re about to witness.

Luna is one of those unapologetic and intense hardcore performers. The Cuban fireball dives on Nomar’s Spanish cock like sex was going out of style. She opens with an animalistic blowjob followed by intense titty-fucking. She’s excited to have this stranger in her boudoir and is going to take advantage of every minute.

While Luna Star is vocal and over the top, I’m not sold on Ramon’s performance. Maybe it’s a language barrier, but his mid-coital lines come off as scripted and unconvincing. It feels a bit like he’s just going through the motions on this one.

That’s hard to reconcile, particularly when Luna mounts him in reverse doggystyle. She pulls off this intense squatting fuck that, together with her insane dirty talk, demands attention. They roll through a bunch of positions in an eloquently filmed scene that really picks up pre-cumshot.

Scene 3:

Something is off in the lighting department. Shot in a dark room with closed windows and floor lamps, there’s a flat and underlit feeling the thing. It’s not like those high-contrast and shadowy art-porn films. Instead, it’s somewhat dim and yellow in nature.

And then there’s the continuity issue. If this is the same massage parlor where Damon Dice fucked Jessica Rex, as we’ve seen in the bonus scene, then why is the room so different. Jessica was in a room that was clearly supposed to be a massage parlor. It was bright and airy with lots of zen elements in the background. So why is Applegate in what looks like a random room in Dice’s house? It doesn’t make sense.

Damon and Applegate are the epitome of a fire-on-fire combo. They both give every fiber of their beings and fuck with intensity. It’s fun to watch AJ bounce wildly on Dice’s dick and her wild deepthroating style feels more like a gonzo film than the glamcore product of Dior’s scene.

But the hardcore element is in full swing once dice starts fingering her with that come-hither motion. Sexperts and porn-connoisseurs will guess what’s coming well before Applegate’s massive squirt.

Scene 4:

Sometimes you see something in porn that sticks with you. But very seldom does something make an impression that lasts fourteen years later. This erotic film pays homage to one such moment.

Taking a step beyond the usual cumshot recap, they’ve included a pick-your-pleasure, allowing you to watch compilations of any specific sex act.

The question becomes, how good are those outstanding scenes. Pretty darned good. Alina Lopez is brilliant and the Gianna Dior scene is something I urge every porn critic to experience ahead of next award season. It has the making of a best boy/girl nominee and just might serve as an intro to 2019’s best new starlet.
