Synopsis

POV Video Games Vixens is a couples-friendly five-scene movie that sort of straddles the line between point-of-view and gonzo sex. The action was not shot entirely from the male's perspective. Some footage does look and feel like you're the one doing the fucking. However, much of the video was shot from the side and, as a result, seems more like gonzo than POV sex.

Of course, there's a very good reason for not shooting all the footage in POV...it's hard to do! Today's best POV movies are shot by the male performer who holds the camera while fucking the girl. That's hard to do...so, it's understandable why director Spyder Jonez chose to have a separate cameraman shoot the video.

I was somewhat disappointed in POV Video Games Vixens' interface. With a title that includes "Video Games" in its name, wouldn't you expect some sort of game-like interface? You'd be mistaken. Instead, it's really just a five-scene movie. Of course, you can choose which scenario to watch using the chapter selector. But, there's no interaction. After reveling in Teravision's superb interactive experience, InTERActive, I was expecting some more control over the way the movie unfolds.

On the up side, POV Video Games Vixens includes a wide variety of scenarios more interesting than "let's fuck on somebody's couch." The movie was shot in a variety of scenario-appropriate locations. And, the girls are made-up and costumed appropriately to the scenario. The sex is, overall, quite good, too...especially Jenna Haze's scene.

I also liked how well the girls--especially Nikki Roze--worked the POV genre. They talk to us like we're really there...and they do it so fucking well!

Final Thoughts

The best things about POV Video Games Vixens include:

• the extremely effective special effects, especially negative colors and high-contrast black-and-white footage, that highlight the opening credits. This attention to detail sets POV Video Games Vixens somewhat apart from the mass-produced titles we're so accustomed to seeing.
• the scenarios (strip club, whores in an alley, Eastern European jail cell, naughty schoolgirl, and so forth. These scenarios depend on suitable locations that were effectively employed when the movie was filmed. I'm so tired of "couch sex" that these scenarios and locations were a welcome diversion.
• Jenna Haze. You simply cannot go wrong with a movie that features this awesome 2008 Dr. Jay's Must-See Girls Award winner. In Scene One, Jenna really makes me smile when, while looking directly into our eyes, she jacks off Tommy Gunn and then swallows every drop. I do wish, however, that Jenna would have taken it up the ass during the scene.
• scene two, which is a boy/girl/girl trio. I love having more than one girl, so b/g/g trios are a special treat.
• Nikki Rhode's portrayal of a naughty schoolgirl in detention. She's a great actress, plays her role to a tee, and really knows how to work the POV genre.
• Devon Lee's body. I love her womanly and voluptuous curves, magnificent real tits, and plump shapely ass.

POV Video Games Vixens could have been better if:

• the cameraman had paid attention to the ceilings in the locations. Instead of being actual locations...like a dirty alley...the scenes were shot in an indoor sound stage. Of course, there's a roof overhead. And, since the cameraman often shot upward, you can see the ceiling which, of course, destroys the desired look at feel of the location.
• the editor had including transitioning footage between the sexual positions. I prefer to see the performers move from one position to another--otherwise, I feel like I've missed something. Of particular importance is the insertion.
• the interface was more like a video game than a same-old porn flick. For example, the opening menu has a choice called "Play the Game." I expected some sort of interactivity when I chose that option. In reality, it just plays the movie from start to finish. Coming after the smash success of Teravision's InTERActive, I was hoping that there would be some interaction in a movie with a title that would lead the purchaser/viewer to think there would be some sort of video game to play. To be fair, there is also a "Select Scenario" choice on the opening menu. That, however, is nothing more than a same-old scene selector by scenario. Frankly, I expected more of Teravision and POV Video Games Vixens.
• if the movie were really POV instead of "sort-of" POV. Today's best POV scenes are shot by the male performer himself as he fucks the girl. That, of course, is hard to do and few guys do it well. So, director Spyder Jonez had another cameraman capture the footage. This means that the action sometimes is from the side instead of from our point-of-view. And, the guy's face is occasionally visible which, of course, destroys the whole POV nature of the sex.

Things I didn't like about POV Video Games Vixens include:

• the lack of cunnilingus. I know that this is supposed to be a POV movie and that it is hard to capture pussy eating from the male's perspective. But, sex without cunnilingus is like a day without sunshine...OK, but not inspiring.
• Maya Gates spitting out Spyder Jonez' cum when he pops into her mouth at the end of Scene Four. Girls, don't ever waste cum. If he pops in your mouth, swallow it. If you don't like to swallow, have him cum somewhere besides your mouth.
