Extras: The main extra was a POV blowjob by a sort of familiar looking gal outdoors under a patio. It lasted 20.5 minutes and wasn't bad but wasn't the best such scene I've come across in recent weeks. There was also a true double sided DVD cover but that was it.

Audio/Video Quality: Spunk'd 4 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color the scenes were shot in by directors Danny Case, Samson, Chris Streams, and others for release by 3rd Degree. The lighting was almost always handled nicely, limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house (mostly the living room). This was a compilation of scenes taken from numerous series over the period of about a year. As such, the overall quality of the scenes varied but not by as much as you might initially think (that's a very long time in terms of porn production folks). The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies as they diddled themselves or took on their partners with a few spots in need of fill lighting but otherwise covering up most of their minor flaws. There were no compression artifacts and the fleshtones were very accurate, making this one visually appealing to me. The 2.0 stereo audio was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could almost always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure.

Body of Review: A lot of guys over the years have told me how much they liked the money shot in porn (largely because of how often I rail against the absolute need for so many companies to show it in all their scenes). For me, this has been the drag of porn in many ways, forcing otherwise decent scenes to drop in value as much as hold the industry back from trying new things. Cum Related Titles are even more popular than the pop shot compilations many releases offer so I ended up with another of those fabulous (sarcasm intended) compilations of edited scenes this week to review, this time called Spunk'd 4. The DVD was over two hours of pop shots edited from a variety of movies released under the 3rd Degree banner, notable for a lot of hardcore action taking place just before the cut off point (each scene lasted slightly over a minute or two). Well, like the compilations presented in Zero Tolerance's Big Rack Attack, Elegant Angel's Real Female Orgasms, and Third Degree's Bring Your A Game, Spunk'd 4 is designed to cater to a very narrow market; consumers that prefer to skip out on the great blowjobs, powerful vaginal and hammering anal scenes in favor of the ladies getting glazed by male ejaculate. Some of the original scenes lasted 25 or so minutes from what I recall and they were trimmed (some would say butchered) down to a minute or two; just long enough to see the men dropping loads on faces and other body parts of the ladies.

I could list the movies the 75 scenes came from (I listed all the ladies present and the majority of men) but there really wouldn't be any point. I thought it was interesting that several of the women were used so often in various scenes but this seemed to have little connection with their skills or looks since some of the more marginal ladies received several scenes while gals like Jasmine Bryne and Sativa Rose only had a couple scenes, Rita Faltoyano had but one, and treasures like Julia Bond and Flower Tucci were completely shut out of the action altogether. In effect, if you like seeing the very last minutes of some hardcore gonzo titles, the part where the guys finishing fucking the ladies and whip out their cocks from sucking or load dropping, you'll love this one. For the rest of the world, myself included, this was an exercise in futility (seeing how much chemistry the performers have, how active the ladies are at riding men in their various holes, and how good an entire scene is put together is what works for me; not watching guys ejaculate on command).

Summary: Spunk'd 4 was one of those compilations of edited scenes that must sell well to someone but I frankly don't see the point. I'm rating it as a Skip It because there was nothing on the DVD designed to get me off but like trannies, foot fetish, granny porn, and other specialty niches, I'm sure it works for some of you a whole lot better. If you like seeing this kind of thing, by all means disregard my rating in favor of something more suitable to your needs; just don't say I didn't warn you up front. In summary, some of the movies that were used to provide the raw footage of Spunk'd 4 were top notch, first rate, highly strokable porn so don't settle for pale imitations that use edited scenes for the pop shots alone unless you really prefer watching male penises spew loads and little else.
