The image in these scenes is too contrasty (too light and too dark and some of the action is hidden in deep shadows. Otherwise, the video and editing are top notch. Four stars.

Audio (technical): As was her style, director Celeste removed the natural sounds of fucking and replaced it with a music-only soundtrack. The music was superbly encoded on the disc in Dolby 5.1 Digital and sounds outstanding when cranked up loud on my computer's Harmon/Kardon speakers. Five stars.

Extras: The Extras are quite light and are sub-par in comparison to other recent adult releases. In addition to the full-motion chapter selector, you'll find a Photo Gallery and Slide Show (same pictures...the Slide Show runs automatically and is accompanied by music while you must operate the Photo Gallery manually), text biographies of Jana Cova and Sophia Santi, trailers for numerous Digital Playground movies, and contact information. That's it! Two stars.

Aesthetics: As always, Celeste's movies are the epitome of aesthetics. The locations, sets, and wardrobe in Peek: A Diary of a Voyeur are all very attractive and supportive of the movie's theme. In addition, the performers were nicely made-up. And, all the girls are attractive! Regarding the music...I've always been a fan of Celeste's musical soundtracks. However, I guess I really don't understand why she chose some of the "spooky" and "electronic-sounding" music to accompany the sex in Peek: A Diary of a Voyeur. Four stars.
