Extra's: The extras on each of the four movies were very similar; including trailers, photogalleries, production notes, cast information, with the occasional Behind the Scenes feature called "The Report" allowing the cast and crews to talk about the movie.

Audio/Video Quality: Snow Sex was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by the directors for the four movies. The earlier movies, shot by Jean Yves LeCastel, looked worse but that's to be expected since two of them were part of his gonzo Matador line and all of them have been around for awhile. In general terms though, the pictures of the flicks were all pretty good for the time they were made with More Than She Expected looking very crisp and clear by comparison. There were some minor issues from time to time with lighting, grain, and other matters but taken as a whole, each movie came across very well in most ways. The audio was dubbed in some of the movies but Private was known for spotty quality on their older titles so this is to be expected. The vocals were average for foreign shot porn yet in almost every case, the audio didn't detract from the hardcore sex going on in the movies here (considering the levels of fuck for the buck, nothing was such a problem that it would keep me from picking this one up if I didn't have a few of them already).

Body of Review: Private has long been one of the largest producers of quality porn worldwide. Their attention to detail and the sheer quality of the ladies they use in their movies has long been the envy of their competitors so it comes as no surprise that they have been one of the industry leaders in terms of offering up copious amounts of fuck for the buck. In recent years, they have upped the ante with boxed sets that combined several previous hits in a single, value packed, package; putting older movies together that share a common theme. Examples of this would include Matador Boxed Set 3, Private Lives 1, and Pirate Boxed Set 2 but there are many more; each with something to offer for a great price. Today's review is of Snow Sex: Limited Edition; a four disc set that combines Avalanche 1, Avalanche 2, Alpine Sex, and More Than She Expected for about the price of two of the flicks if you bought them separately. Jean Yves LeCastel directed three of them with Steve Hooper and Tony DeSergio covering one together with the central theme of anal sex and snowbound locations used as backdrops. If this is what turns you on, you can expect the same type of sex you see in almost all Private releases, with no condoms used at all. I've included a list of the scenes in three of the movies and hope you understand that it makes little sense to detail the sex as the scenes blurred together in no time as somewhat generic.

Movie: Avalanche 1: (Matador 7)
Avalanche 1 is the type of movie that gives a new meaning to the term "snow ball" as the cast worked each other up in all sorts of mountain locales. This wasn't the best I've seen from the Matador series but it had a decent amount of fuck for the buck with an attractive cast.

Avalanche 2 was more of the same except that the cast was prettier and had more sexual skill this time. Thematically, you'd be wasting your time looking for deeper meaning though hotty Rita Faltoyano was looking especially fine.

Movie: More Than She Expected (When Porn Stars Play 1)

This release was slightly different than the others, not just because of the different directors but the inclusion of talented people like Jane Darling, Luisa De Marco, Tina Wagner, Janet, Patricia, Sandra Mark, Tony De Sergio, Steve Hooper, Mick Blue, and Ramon Nomar all romping around in the ski chalet and slopes for your stroking pleasure.

Movie: Private X-Treme 4: Alpine Sex
This was a visual treat with the cast taking to the Swiss Alps as the setting for their fun and frolic. The down side was that some of the cast were mechanical in how they approached sex but that's a common complaint about Private's works and you wouldn't be reading this far into the review if you didn't already accept that.

Summary: Snow Sex: Limited Edition had a lot to enjoy even if there scenes were a bit uneven in terms of quality and passion. Still, with four movies for a reasonable price, you can afford to skip anything you don't like and still have enough stroke material to get you through the long, cold winter. There were over six hours of movie here and the extras might not have been great but they still added some value to this already bursting at the seams package of porn. In general then, if you're looking for a treasure trove of nut-busting excitement, give this package a look but keep in mind that if you get it, your own package will be getting quite a workout too.
