Extra's: VCA Pictures has recently taken to adding in full length movies as their primary extra; a move I find to be exceptionally praiseworthy. This time, the DVD in question was Ass Blasters 1, a compilation of almost award winning (in some cases at least) anal scenes taken from the extensive vaults of the company that lasted 105 minutes, though it provided a lot of condom using scenes for those that care (the movie was produced in 1999, released on DVD in 2004, and apparently remastered recently to include a trailer for Teractive). As far as unique to the movie material goes though, the best extra was the 5.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Erik as he captured the director routinely getting cameraman sweetheart Matt Holder all excited while setting things up for her scenes. It was too short but considering the main extra, I'm not going to bitch about it. The other extras on the disc were trailers to shows like the cool looking upcoming flick Teractive and three generic titles, a slide show, and a bit of spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Mass Destruction was presented in a non-anamorphic widescreen color letter boxed aspect ratio of about 1.85:1 as shot by director Shy Love for release by VCA Pictures. The lighting was generally solid, limiting the grain, video noise, and other areas that lighting tends to impact (the fleshtones were very accurate, for example). The composition of the camera work was decent and enhanced the look of the ladies, rarely showing their minor blemishes and flaws as others seem too willing to do these days. I saw no obvious compression artifacts and the DVD mastering looked pretty solid. The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English with no separation between the channels and limited dynamic range; seemingly on the low side as well. The use of music wasn't a big issue either so the vocals were the focal point of the audio tracks too.

Body of Review: Shy Love is best known for her curvy figure, attractive face, and general sensuality in her scenes as a performer but recently she has been making the move into directing as well. Wisely hiring some decent technical staff to assist her on making her titles look better than most novices seem to do, she has been showing a lot of people that her potential for making movies behind the camera is almost as solid as her work in front so that brought me to her latest title; Mass Destruction. The movie was a set of five scenes of ladies having hardcore sex with minimal set up with an emphasis on slightly rough action. The scenes were all at least pretty good with a few that really shined for me, proving Shy has what it takes to suck seed (I mean, succeed). Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used but Shy wasn't having sex either:

Scene One: Sandra Romain, the well established anal queen seen on the lower left hand corner of the front DVD cover, was up first as she teased Christian on a stripper stage (complete with pole) inside a large house. As such, I rated the movie as Recommended since it had plenty of fun, some rough sex as advertised, and enough material to make Mass Destruction worth picking up.
