Frank Miller's Sin City made an incredible splash in Hollywood with it's ultra-violence and gracious sexual undertones. Private's world renown director, Pierre Woods has taken the storyline and re-created it for a hardcore sexual version of the movie. There are over nine scenes and three hours of intelligent dialogue, streaming sex and splashes of violence. I am a sucker for Private blockbusters, especially those commanded by Pierre Woodman. I loved Frank Miller's Sin City and am very excited about the Private parody.

Scene 1: Lucy Ann

In a scene right out of Sin City, we see the woman on the balcony speaking with her soon-to-be murder murderer, in vivid black and white, highlighted in red lipstick. Thankfully, before taking his prey, the murderer takes his victim inside to have his way with the lady on the balcony being played by the gorgeous Lucy Ann. Scene 2: Wildy

Scene 8: Gwen Cortez

Gwen is nursing our injured police man back to health when the evil corrupt crime boss decided to torture the cop for fucking the in front of him for deeds done to his son. Gwen is a somewhat attractive woman with a long face, and super skinny body. Watching her only wear knee high boots and a nurse's cap was a treat. This was my least favorite scene of the DVD, but it is far from horrible.

Scene 9: Xenia Lova

Audio/Video: This DVD looks fantastic. It was shot in 16:9 Anamorphic Widescreen and it shows. Audio was crisp and clear, and the picture was amazing with incredibly high production values. Some people might get annoyed with the perpetual change from color to black and white, but I found the look to be incredibly entertaining and did not remove an iota of heat from the scenes. As in all features from Private, you can watch the movie in a multitude of languages.

Extras:
Private put together an entire additional DVD of extras that I dug into with reckless abandon after watching this feature. There was a five minute blooper real, which was rather entertaining, especially watching a cast member drop a motorcycle. Fight choreography was funny. This is obviously an area of skimping for the movie. I guess it's a challenge to find guys who can fuck and fight due to whole 'lover or a fighter paradox'. There is a 21 minute insight on the making of the film, including some brief sex scenes in upcoming chapters of the sex city trilogy. There is an hour of behind the scenes material featuring all sorts of on the set chaos and tomfoolery between cast, crew and director, along with the special effects efforts put into the film. An additional 31 minute interview with Director Pierre Woodman leaves no doubt the amount of effort placed into the production effects of Sex City. The highlight of the featurette is watching Pierre Woodman dislocate his shoulder while screwing around the on the sex. One thing you have to admit, about porn set, is that it looks like it would be an enjoyable place to be. One very cool feature is a black and white music clip of the faces of some of the leading ladies in the film. It's well done as it catches the women in states of non-acting, revealing their true beauty. Additionally, there is a trailer from Sex City, profiles for the women of Sex City. Other titles include trailers from "Kill Thrill", "Pleasure Dome", "The Private Life of Simony Diamond", "Addiction" and "Stiletto". This is by far the best collection of extras that I've seen on an adult DVD release.

Summary:
This release is everything that an adult DVD should be, and a reminder of everything the vast majority of pornography is not. There is an entertaining script, special effects, three hours of incredibly hot sex and a director attempting to try something new. I enjoyed the changing of color schemes during the sex, and felt like it didn't detract from the sexual intensity of the scene. This is the first part of three Sex City stories, and frankly, I cannot wait until part 2 arrives. I will proudly place this DVD into DVD Talk's Collector's Series and will tell anyone who will listen to purchase this DVD immediately.
