The Movie:

Western Visuals presents Seka - Fallen Angel: The Lost Episodes, a strange and misleading re-titling of Ziggy Ziggowitz Jr.'s 1980 feature, Rocking With Seka. There's nothing 'lost' about this feature, which is also known as Fallen Angel and as Seka's Cruise. That said, it's a pretty good movie with a great cast. Seka plays a stewardess with an appetite for random sexual encounters. She's featured in each one of the six hardcore sex scenes and fans of her work will enjoy seeing her with guys and girls here at the peak of her career. She looks gorgeous throughout the feature and shows why she was considered to be one of the best performers of her day.

Here's a look at how it all plays out:

Scene One: This scene begins with Liz Dwyer and Juliet Anderson talking about a movie Anderson is making. Western Visuals presents the feature in a non-anamorphic widescreen transfer that looks pretty tight, indicating it might be cropped. A full frame transfer likely would have shown a fair bit more information. The transfer, taken from a pretty worn source, is interlaced and pretty soft looking. Detail is fuzzy and colors look worn and faded. In short, the transfer is pretty weak, which is unfortunate as this is a pretty good movie.

The Audio:

The quality of the Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono mix is about equal to that of the video transfer. There's some hiss present throughout and at times the dialogue is a bit hard to understand. The levels are fairly consistent, so there's that, but it's obvious that no real effort was put into this mix.

The Extras:

Extras are pretty light on this release, as they're limited to a photo gallery of really low quality images (judging by the interlacing evident, they're simply screen caps taken from a DVD) and some phone sex commercials. Animated menus and scene selection are also provided.

Overall:

Despite the whole misleading 'the lost episodes' part of the title and the crappy quality of the transfer and the audio, Fallen Angel or Rocking With Seka, whatever you want to call it, is a pretty good movie. It's a shame that the transfer is so weak, because it really hurts what would have been a recommended release had the quality been better. As it stands, this movie is definitely worth your time, but this presentation is lame. Rent it.
