Extras: There were trailers, and a set of pop shots from the scenes but the 104:00 minute long Behind the Scenes feature was the best extra by far. The BTS had some interviewing, some scene preparation, James and Danny interacting with the various ladies (as well as the other guys here like Steven and Damon), which revealed the movie was made since James had already two scenes in the can and needed more that he could “fit” into a common theme, a lot of commentary about Sara’s scene being shot last, James not having any of his videogame systems hooked up, and such with April munching out at the end (“Enjoy your burrito!”).

Audio/Video Quality: Naturally Nasty was presented in anamorphic widescreen by director James Deen for James Deen Productions. The bulk of the footage was shot by editor Danny Wylde, James contributing as needed in a few select portions of the show, the up side being that the resulting material was definitely better than so many of James’ recent movies where he simply sets the camera down while the down side was, of course, the footage looked like it was shot by the two guys instead of a better cameraman. That said, it looked better than I thought it would, most of the scenes having fair lighting, the framing better than the couple are used to using, and the flesh tones were often close to accurate, some compression artifacts observed when the show was watched on the television, and the editing about average. The aural components of the show were presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital using the AC3 codec, the sampling rate at 48 kHz and the bitrate shown as 192 Kbps, the vocals heard fairly well in the parts where the levels were set high enough, the couples sometimes whispering things to each other that I could barely make out with the volume elevated all the way up.

Body of Review: James Deen has been a performer in all sorts of porn productions for a long time now, the man branching into directing his own works awhile back before forming James Deen Productions. While James is not known for his technical prowess in his directed flicks, he does get a big nod for trying new things and creativity, even if the hit to miss ratio suggests reeling in his creative impulses more often. His latest movie is called Naturally Nasty, James already having had a couple unrelated scenes shot and needing to figure out common ground for a full release, the man deciding to present five full scenes starring attractive, all natural ladies. Of special interest was that James was only in three of the scenes, even using a condom in one, but his casting decision for the ladies was pretty solid. Using women including Sara Luvv, Cassidy Klein, Rilynn Rae, Jessa Rhodes, and April O’Neil, with back up from Steven St. Croix and Damon Dice, James did quite well here with apparently unscripted sex showing some degree of chemistry and enthusiasm no matter what the technical side looked like.

The technical aspects were somewhat unpolished but not generally a detriment to the strokability and replay value so I rated it as Recommended, die hard fans of the performers or this type of action might rate the production even higher. In short then, Naturally Nasty offered some good fun to appreciate and those into the rough stuff that James shows the ladies should find it more appealing than those looking for true gonzo of others looking for a couples friendly fuck flick so give it a look if this sounds good to you.
