Extras: The extras were minimal here but given the length of the movie's six scenes, I was predisposed to find that acceptable, the handful of trailers, photogallery, and amusing Behind the Scenes feature showing some familiar faces involved with the shooting of the flick. There was no time code for the BTS (which sucked) and it was presented in the standard definition 480i (which sucked more) but aside from the grain, I enjoyed watching the building of the movie from the beginning to end.

Audio/Video Quality: High Definition (Blu-Ray) was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color it was shot in by director Bill Fisher for Club Jenna in 1080i using the VC-1 codec for the Blu-Ray release. For those of you familiar with the director, he was one of the founders of the wildly successful Bang Bros before moving on to sign on with Club Jenna, providing a series of wildly successful releases in the spirit of his older works as well as a growing number of titles that fit the more common conception of the company with artistic vignette-styled porn. Those who have watched movies by the company in the past, know how much emphasis they placed on heavy filter use, lighting, and rapid editing but Bill is cut from a different cloth, expanding not only his own style of shooting but that of the company too. The lighting and camera work were superior, with the video bitrate typically hovering in the 30 Mbps range (often higher), with no observed compression artifacts in play. As an early high definition release for the company, I had my doubts as to what I should expect but even though I'm raised on a steady diet of mindless gonzo most of the time, I was promised by a long time industry veteran (and member of the forums) that I should find this one extremely pleasing. Bill has succeeded in other genres so I owed it to him to take a look, the results better than I had heard about. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, using high end equipment rather than the extremely portable cameras the director is familiar with to squeeze out additional resolution. The audio was heavy on the music with a lot of grunts & groans, Ceez credited for the music though not the balance favoring it in the production. I prefer vocals over score but I can't deny that the audio was a step up for the company in some ways, much like the visual aspects that I found appealing.

Body of Review: Bill Fisher is one of those guys that I became a fan of well after he had established his credentials in the industry. I have never been a fan of internet porn due to early experiences that involved seeing it in tiny boxes on my computer screen, the world eventually catching up as internet speeds increased dramatically. When Bang Bros started releasing scenes on DVD, I discovered what so many people were talking about, soon finding the guy snapped up by Club Jenna to head a popular line of various flicks under the Filthy banner. As Bill became more comfortable there, he started evolving to provide a variety of other kinds of porn, essentially breaking out of his mold to give the world even more reason to enjoy his work. The latest release in his repertoire is High Definition (Blu-Ray), a series of six vignettes that frequently showcased hotty contract gal Lela Star, using a number of different themes but keeping the same hardcore nastiness that Bill has been known to offer his entire career. I know some of you are big haters of Club Jenna movies as "fluff, light-weight porn" but even a gonzo enthusiast like myself found a lot to like here as long as you appreciate the cast. The cover said it like this: "Sumptuous Lela Star is Club Jenna's most nefarious nympho yet, with appetites that range from posh to profane. Flanked by an energetic cast with an array of creative cravings, Lela draws you deep into the murky darkness of her most intimate obsessions. With her hooks buried deep in your willing flesh, you'll be pulled into exotic encounters that span the globe and the imagination. Ready for dripping wet action that leaps right off the screen and squirms in your lap? Let Lela lead you down the path to deviance!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Lela Star, the beautiful contract brunette featured on the front cover, was up first with sultry Ruby Knox, and porn stud Charles Dera, using a harem theme to establish that this was not going to be solely a bit of eye candy. The ladies sucked him off aggressively and shared his wonder wand, spending time on his nuts and caressing his body to provide the greatest amount of pleasure. The ladies always made sure to spend some quality lesbian time too, the vaginal penetration generally active by the ladies as they bounced on cock. I came to appreciate that not all the shots were super close up too, mixing the composition of the frame to get a wider variety of looks for increased replay value and strokability. There was some anal fingering and the scene ended when the ladies took his mouth pop, cumswapped it, and licked the remains off each other in a heated display of chemistry. Yum!

Scene Two: Roxy Jezel, an attractive Asian gal with a large following, was up next as she portrayed a dragonlady type, complete with lengthy fingernails and a fetish outfit that looked great on her. She was set to work with Donny Long and JT, admittedly not high end male talent, but tore into their dicks orally as though her life depended on it. The messy hummers were a powerful reminder of her past (her newer work hasn't always been that sexually assertive) and she even took them into her mouth at the same time before they began pounding her vaginally. In short, she never let up once started, always slobbing the knob of one while the other boned her like he owned her, Roxy yelling out a stream of dirty talk that would shock a sailor. The lighting was a bit too stark here (flooding her with spotlights) but the detail of her resolution was almost as good as a few of the other scenes. In the end, Roxy drained the men dry when they busted nuts on her face, the population pudding leaving a semen goatee and trail of spew she licked at.

Scene Three: McKenzee Miles, Lela Star, Tony DeSergio, and Colton Jag, were up in a fountain; the ladies wearing Victorian Era wigs after a short tease with lesbian undertones together. The ladies caressed each other and used the water to enhance the look of their bodies, just getting hot when the men walked over naked to take them by the hand and pair off. They didn't stay paired off forever but tended to stick to a single partner at a time, the active screwing showing the ladies impaling themselves on cock vaginally as though itching a deep seated scratch. They eventually moved the show inside where Lela turned up the heat as she took over both men, having their launch their loads into her hands so she could feed herself the healthy wads.

Scene Four: Renna Ryann, Lela Star, and J-Mac, were up next, the garishly dressed guy coming across as a coke baron or power player in the entertainment world with the ladies as his groupies. They felt him up, took turns sucking him off (Lela was always the dominant partner and best performer) as though they wanted a role on a music video, soon jumping onto his dick to ride it aggressively. Renna wore some great looking fishnet stockings and while not in the same league as Lela, did an admirable job of trying to keep up. Scene Five: Roxy Jezel, Kimberly Kole, Tommy Gunn, and Tony DeSergio, were then up in a scene that appeared to be a combination of Goth Meets BDSM, the ladies wearing fetish garb and acting subservient to the men. The gals dropped to their knees and slobbed their knobs, the messy hummers leading to some begging about "fuck me now". The vaginal fucking was loud and proud here too, some spanking and slapping around punctuating the penetrative romp as the over the top vocals went more than a little overboard. This one was less about personal chemistry than it was about sexual athleticism, the leather and latex adorned with chains and other accessories. This seemed much like a contest too, the ladies competing for who would be the best of the scene and each of them making a solid case, never letting up before the ending semen was rubbed out on the crotch of one to land in the mouth of the other (Kimberly). Sweet!

Scene Six: Kara Tai, a lean Asian chick with a fit body, was up next wearing a pink kimono in front of a window to a high rise office, dancing about as it praying to Mothra. She was soon joined by Colton Jag and dropping to her knees to blow him, doing a functional job but not as heated as those that came before her. His balls were cherry red when he started drilling her vaginally, the relatively passive gal a let down from the ladies in the prior scenes, the scene really short by comparison too. To be frank, it ended with a facial and some of you may like it more than I did but it just didn't seem to work nearly as well as the other scenes, the tacked on appearance noticed by one of my associates in another look at the movie.

Summary: High Definition (Blu-Ray) director Bill Fisher for Club Jenna was a surprisingly heated romp in most scenes, the activity level of the ladies much higher than previous contract gals provided and Bill's eye for detail working nicely with the high definition format on such an early outing that I rated it as Recommended. The replay value and strokability were decent and the quantity of quality fucking was more than expected compared to previous outings. The lack of circus act sex will be a big plus for some of you and going without anal might help sell it to couples more than the raincoat crowd but this was definitely a step in the right direction for the company.
