Extras: Naughty America is not known for their extras so I wasn't surprised that the only decent extra was a 4:53 minute long Behind the Scenes feature focusing solely on Jessica Lynn (with scene director Eric Masterson making a cameo appearance during the discussion about sniffing her panties). There was also a photogallery but that was it.

Audio/Video Quality: Diary of a Nanny #5 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by directors Brett Brando and Eric Masterson for release by Naughty America. The lighting was decent this time, limiting the amount of grain and other visual noise the movie provided compared to some earlier releases by the company. There were very few compression artifacts and the visual aspects of the movie were pretty good here but the MPEG-2 encoding showed a decent bitrate (typically in the lower 5 Mbps range) and the picture reflected that fact. The composition of the angles and shots favored the ladies reasonably well and that elevated the quality of the visual presentation more than a little bit from what I've seen in the past. The men were all excluded from getting much screen time in that the vignettes were recorded in POV fashion specifically to exclude them as best the cameraman could, the guys not handling the camera but nearly appearing like that much of the time. The audio was presented in MPEG-2 2.0 English with a bitrate of 224 Mbps according to my receiver but I heard no separation between the channels and if the vocals were recorded in anything but monaural, I'd be very surprised. There was no music on hand to interfere with the vocals though so there was that benefit but the microphone seemed to be too far away as the vocals were hollow and echoed throughout the set.

Body of Review: Brett Brando is one of those directors that strikes me as well suited for internet work, churning out a great many scenes over the years as he sought to find the right performers to work in his fuck flicks. Eric Masterson has joined the ranks of directors too and according to our far too brief conversation at the 2008 AEE, he hopes to gain some solid experience working for Naughty America in that capacity too. Together these two are responsible for the scenes of a DVD I picked up for review this week called Diary of a Nanny #5. The scenarios for the five vignettes were pretty straightforward as each of them revolved around a lady that served as a nanny that provided extra special services to the people they worked for. If you prefer something like this that is barely one step removed from gonzo, you could do far worse considering the cast included some of my favorites like Roxy DeVille, Alexis Texas, Katarina Kat, and some promising newcomers. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Viki La Vie, a blond with a foreign accent and sweet ass, was up first on the couch wearing her red patterned dress, writing a letter as though the scene was shot for Hustler's Barely Legal series. This was her first day on the job and she was nervous (a walking disaster as it were) with the gal dumping a bunch of food in the lap of Eric Swiss. The clumsy gal ended up apologizing as she dried the guy off, both of them coming to appreciate each other as the clothing began to fall to the wayside. She was nicely built (not too lean or too heavy) and she liked to give head so I admit that I'd hire her if she were in the area; Eric's rod not much of a challenge for her experienced lips but well suited to give her the scratching she needed. He showed his strong point in return when he ate her out skillfully, the vaginal pounding showing him doing most of the work until she was on top (where she became quite active). The result penetration and oral caused Eric to unleash a load of population pudding on her face and in her mouth, no swallowing done for those that care.

Scene Two: Harmony Hex and Carolina De Lys, a couple of British gals in what has been billed as an "interesting" location in England, were up next with studly Texan, Christian (the scene was shot overseas during one of his jaunts for the company thanks to Brett). Harmony slobbed his knob outside, some of the footage in POV fashion, while Carolina diddled herself as she peeped on them from inside the house. I preferred Carolina's curvier ass but Harmony's youth had an appeal too; both gals wanting to get some of his package as part of a deal for Harmony to keep her job. Harmony gave a polished bit of head but Carolina was no slacker either, the two almost fighting over his rod as they inhaled the meat pipe. This led to the gals taking turns riding him, Carolina the more active of the two with Christian drilling them very well until it was time to rub out a load to their faces.

Scene Three: Jessica Lynn, a very attractive newcomer (that reminds me a bit of Memphis Monroe), was next up on a red bedspread as she layed out the problems she had with her current employment situation; her need for seed unsatisfied thanks to the rules of the house per employer Eric Swiss. She wanted to keep the job so they reached a compromise, Jessica pushing him to the bed to blow him aggressively, giving him a handjob and some titty play before she lied back on the bed to get some oral loving from the guy. As stated in the previous scene, he might have been packing a dick as big as Christian but he showed enough skill with the tongue and fingers to come across as my long lost kinfolk. They then fucked in several positions where she rarely lived up to her potential, actively riding in only one position as he did all the work. The scene ended with a titty pop on her implants, the gal glistening with sweat by the time they were finished.

Scene Four: Roxy DeVille, a gorgeous brunette favorite of mine, and Katarina Kat, the most flexible lady in porn, were up next in a heated scene with muscular Christian. Katarina was the nanny here and Roxy was her friend, the bearded Christian (a rarity since he's usually clean shaven) taking the gal to task for not doing her job. Roxy took charge of her friend's future when he was going to fire her, using the old fashioned blackmail route to get what they wanted from him. Roxy forced him to apologize and began removing his shirt, Katarina assisting her as they admired his physical shape. Katarina and Christian then began sucking Roxy's titties but both gals were orally serviced by the guy in this scene directed by Eric (who did a great job capturing some of the strongest chemistry and energy I've seen in a Naughty America release to date). I was particularly impressed at the lack of edits needed to make the tryst so fluid, the casting being extremely important in this regard. I know a few people take issue with Christian on occasion but he admittedly had a lot to work with here; Roxy practically glowing and Katarina as sexy as ever. The emphasis was on Roxy and Christian for most of the scene though, the real life friendship between the two a well known fact, yet all three of them together did manage to elevate the dynamic a bit more than usual as well; the second half of the scene favoring Katarina getting pounded very hard by the guy. Roxy closed things up by rubbing out a load to her pal's face, licking off the population pudding before they kissed; the suggestion of a second nanny position sounding mighty fine to me too.

Scene Five: Alexis Texas, the curvy gal on the cover that has really become something of a starlet in the past year, was up last with rough Otto Bauer as he tried to take advantage of his status as her employer. She was cleaning up in her pink top and tight black booty shorts when he started making advances on her, pulling her shorts off to reveal a thong that I'd love to floss with. She knelt on the bed to give him greater access to her ass and the guy started licking her as if she were made of candy. As with the other scenes, I would have preferred more tease at the onset of the scene but Alexis is one of those gals that draws out the beast in men so I understand why this wasn't so here. He then vaginally banged the hot babe as she passively purred, the blowjob coming afterwards along with some nut sack sucking. Alexis became more active as the scene wore on but the action paled compared to the previous scene; his wad of semen gracing her tongue.

Summary: Diary of a Nanny #5 by directors Brett Brando and Eric Masterson for release by Naughty America was much like other offerings from the company as far as I was concerned; somewhat hit or miss depending on the chemistry between the performers more than anything. Roxy and Katarina led the pack this time but there was enough strokable material for me to merit a rating of Rent It even if I wasn't infatuated with the pair. Eric's scenes looked technically better than Brett's for the most part too though why the company didn't see fit to credit his work is beyond me (he warned me that most of his work wouldn't have his name on it for now). In short, Diary of a Nanny #5 was not a bad set of scenes derived for the internet and later release on DVD but given the quality of the best scene here, it left me yearning for more like it, raising the stakes as it were by doing a better job casting folks that work well together instead of who is free to work on a given day.
