Audio/Video Quality: The Sexxxploitation of Romi Rain was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Ivan for Desire Films (under a new deal with Girlfriends Films for distribution). The technical values varied a significant amount since this was essentially a collection of scenes taken from Romi Rain’s website shot over the last year. The first disc included some sex scenes with solo outings while the second disc was primarily behind the scenes footage where Ivan goofed around with Romi and her partners from behind the camera, the first disc having a fair amount of artistic approaches like using a lot of black light, slow motion, and soft focus. There was no company watermark on the scene at all times but there did not appear to be any brand new material shot solely for the set either. As is often the case, the heavy editing in most scenes gave them a montage appearance that some really like and others really hate, few people expressing a middle of the road opinion to me over the years. The video bit rate hovered around the 3.2 Mbps area and there were some compression artifacts at times. The aural qualities were less varied in that music tended to dominate the sexual encounters just as vocals were more important in the second disc’s BTS material, the moans & groans heard clearly enough when offered up but despite the coding suggesting it was in 2.0 Dolby Digital with the standard 192 Kbps audio bit rate, it all sounded monaural.

Body of Review: Ivan is a director known for many things in porn over the years, his crazy antics not weakening his creative genius in the slightest. Now that Ivan has moved to Las Vegas, scores of his previously shot scenes are being released in compilations that are not listed as such but he has also started a new label called Desire Films for releasing newer footage coming from websites he has shot for via Girlfriends Films, the first of these called The Sexxxploitation of Romi Rain. This double disc offering was packed full of footage from Romi Rain’s website that Ivan has been shooting over the last year, the Boston born brunette bombshell one of the hottest young ladies in all of porn these days. Unlike most “corporate porn” as some call it, this included a disc of Romi’s solo scenes and scenes with partners, not all over them including overt sexual contact so much as erotic tease shot in artistic or semi artistic manner. The second disc was primarily behind the scenes footage and still shoots where Romi and her cast engaged in playful banter with Ivan, the material entertaining to watch at least once. While I don’t have access to Romi’s website, I included the scene name of each clip as a means for fans to identify, this set a nice compliment to Romi’s spotlight showcase coming out a few days before her Jules Jordan extravaganza comes out (review forthcoming). Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Much of the footage was Romi masturbating or even just teasing by eating ice cream, some heated trysts included with her doing men like Toni Ribas or Derrick Pierce while other scenes offered up hotties like Dani Daniels or Kirsten Price, the material typically captured using very small cameras with lower resolution rather than unwieldy equipment less able to flow with the action so I rated it as Recommended. That said, any real fan of Romi Rain will already be a member of her website to see all this and more but likely to consider this double disc set as a “must have” endeavor all the same too. In short, The Sexxxploitation of Romi Rain was a less predictable set of scenes starring the leading lady as she masturbated, enjoyed lesbian encounters, and stylishly rode turgid peckers that will impress a lot of folks so check it out while you wait for her “Darkside” volume to come out in a couple of days.
