Audio/Video Quality: Romi Rain Darkside was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jules Jordan for Jules Jordan Video. Jules and Elliot Clixx manned the cameras this time, Mecha again in charge of the editing. The lighting of the tease sessions and sexual trysts was always good or better, the framing and accuracy of flesh tones nicely handled. The stylish manner in which the narration of Romi in her classic lingerie and trench coat were covered as she walked the streets at night was curious, the heavy red tint almost as welcome as the slow motion pop shot recaps at the end of each scene (that I did not care for). There was a company watermark on the lower right corner of the entire movie but for the most part, this was a sharp looking production in every way that matters. The aural components were very basic and straightforward though, the vocals easy to hear and the limited amount of music not interfering at all. There were a few times when I heard someone whisper something to Romi but I believe those times to be related to getting her best positioned for a shot, no over dubbed vocals observed other than the narration itself.

Body of Review: Jules Jordan is often referred to as the king of modern gonzo, his productions at Jules Jordan Video often the longest, containing the most new material, and offering the best casts of attractive women paired up with some of the best men around. Jules latest is called Romi Rain Darkside, a showcase spotlight title starring the curvy brunette bombshell from Boston in all six scenes, no recycled footage watering things down as you generally find elsewhere. Romi did interracial with Lexington Steele, anal with Manuel Ferrara, a blowbang with five meat puppets, public sex with Jules, a POV with the director, and a two on one scene so there was a lot to take in here, the quality of the visuals superior to that of her website compilation called The Sexxxploitation of Romi Rain that admittedly made a nice companion piece to this one. The technical aspects were crisp and clear, the extras were decent, and while I would have made a few changes here and there, I have to hand it to Jules that the production was really strong courtesy of Romi Rain’s appeal on so many levels so I rated it as Highly Recommended. Romi’s hordes of slavering fanboys will consider this a “must have” double disc set for all sorts of reasons too but there was no denying that the director brought the best she had to offer. In short, Romi Rain Darkside was another exceptional starlet showcase of a top notch performer a great many industry insiders find to be more than just a great piece of ass, the lady providing a mystique or allure that continues to win her over many more followers so check it out.
