Extras: The extras included a 7:24 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, some trailers, and a photogallery as well as a second copy of the movie (one in Blu-ray and one on DVD). There was footage showing Keiran Lee working behind the scenes in the BTS, a marked difference from some of the former “directors” who directed in name only. It was shot by Alex Rea, Baka, Raigon, and Rommy Banana while edited by Jay Are (all names spelled as they appeared on the credits, though with the stylish font, who knows what the actual names are).

Audio/Video Quality: Hot Chicks Big Fangs was offered up in a decent anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Keiran Lee for Digital Playground. The double disc package contained a Blu-ray version as well and while that was what I watched for my initial viewing experience, the review’s screen captures are derived from the standard DVD version. In a nutshell, the picture looked good in both, more detail and grain provided in the high definition version. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen but the effects, the camera angles, and the color tones were better than expected given the nature of the material (dark scenes, shot at night, etc.). The quality of the editing was mixed but according to the credits, no less than five people participated in editing portions of the movie, perhaps that and the other less specifically credited crew gave each scene a different look and feel. The aural components varied a lot less here, the stereo separation sounding as if added in post production though the vocals were crisp and easy to make out in most cases and the music was appropriate to the theme material.

Body of Review: Keiran Lee has been known mostly for his work in front of the cameras even though reports of him contributing to various productions in a number of roles has trickled back to me of late. His first fully credited role as a director with Digital Playground in a movie called Hot Chicks Big Fangs. Though it was released right after Halloween, a weird marketing move to be sure, this vampire flick employed a large crew, a lot of uncredited babes as extras, and plenty of equipment for the special effects; a decided difference from many of the company’s light features. With popular ladies such as Bonnie Rotten, Monique Alexander, and Romi Rain (as well as Nikki Benz and Destiny Dixon) as well as a cast of decent males, the movie was a lot of fun. The back cover described the movie like this: “The dark, mysterious and deviously sexy Bonnie Rotten appears on an old country road to offer her service to three men broken down and stranded. Beguiled, the men follow the seductive vixen to her home where a huge all girl Halloween bash is underway. The guys think they are in for the night of their lives, little do they know something sinfully sexy and sinister is in store for them. These tantalizing women aren't what they appear to be!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Romi Rain, the sexy brunette seen on the lower middle of the front cover, was up first as she seduced willing Clover to leave the all chick Halloween party and hang out with her by the pool at night. She cut right to the chase and got him naked, the gal kneeling in front of him to aggressively slob his knob. I think it would’ve made more sense to release this a few weeks before Halloween and play up the vampire angle just as I would have loved to see an all chick lesbian orgy, but it was a nice change of pace for the company that has proven so reliant on one director for years. Fans of vampires, tattooed hotties, and slutty fetish outfits will undoubtedly want to pick up a copy for their own, my appreciation for Hot Chicks Big Fangs helped by the technical values, great female casting, and overall way the themes were handled so give it a look to see what I’m talking about.
