Audio/Video Quality: Ripe Juicy Teens was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that the scenes were shot in by director Robert Herrera. With such a wide variety of sources, the quality of the picture did vary a bit but for the most part, the lighting was decent, resulting in less grain than many other compilations have these days. Further, the colors were generally accurate and the camera angles seemed consciously taken to enhance the female performer's looks. There were no compression artifacts or video noise to speak of and the overall visual package was solid most of the time. The stereo audio was fairly unexceptional but you could hear the vocals fine in most scenes and the lack of significant music actually assisted the presentation far more than the usual droning musak would have done.

Body of Review: Compilations are all the rage these days as companies figure out that they can salvage older scenes, skip paying any extra dough, and sell a full disc of scenes to an appreciative audience. For the most part, a well done compilation will be a nice value to fans but the mileage always varies depending on how well it is made. Today's review deals with a compilation from the folks at Simon Wolf who have selected a set of 10 scenes (9 and a bonus scene) that showcase an attractive cast of women that looked to be in their late teens to early twenties as they had one on one sex with a male partner. The name of the compilation is Ripe Juicy Teens and fans of the company will note that it provided a good value if you don't own one (or more) of the original releases the scenes came from. That said, here's a glimpse at what the DVD had to offer, with an attempt to label the scenes by the movie they were taken from, not an easy task considering the similarity of the scenes "look".

Scene One: Young Pink 6: Dani Woodward, a cute little brunette, and Joey Ray, had a scene by a fireplace on a couch. They seemed into one another and I liked this scene the first time I saw it. They did the usual oral on one another and seemed to act like a real couple in terms of pleasing one another (unlike porn where the guy rubs her twice and then slams it in her throat or pussy) with her actively engaging his penis for pleasure. It wasn't her best scene but fans will like it just the same as she looked very good here.

Scene Two: Young Pink 1: Lexi Matthews, a cute blonde with an all natural body, took care of Trevor Zen by the same fireplace on what looked to be the same couch. Maybe Simon wrote it off in his taxes that year. ;) Regardless, the sexual dynamics were very similar to the first scene although she was less into the action and he had to pick up the slack more often than not. I can see why so many fans like her though and I hope to see more of her in future releases.

Scene Three: Wet Teen Panties 2: "Aspen Stevens, one of the cutest brunettes I've ever met at a porn convention (see below), started off the show with a little bit of tease footage. The camera hovered a bit too close for my tastes but I can't deny her appeal as eye candy. After slowly rubbing herself on a couch, Chris joined her and the two did some warmish oral before a leisurely paced screwing. I admit that I couldn't look away (she's "that" cute) but like her other scenes, she didn't appear to be into the action with limited energy and chemistry."

Scene Four: Young Pink 7: Brandy Nicole, yet another lean brunette, seemed to enjoy Joey Ray going down on her while they were on a purple couch. Her oral skills included PTM (pussy to mouth) but her boning skills relied far too heavily on him doing most, if not all, of the work. It ended with a facial that went largely on her lean, all natural chest, but the scene seemed to start midway and that kind of limited the heat for me.

Scene Five: Young Pink 4: "Shawnie, a hot looking blonde with nice breasts and a curvy body, took care of Matt Bixel in front of a stone fireplace. She has a lot of natural skill and looked to be about twenty years old."

Scene Six: Wet Teens 6: Erin Moore, a blonde that looked like she had one in sideways by the grimace on her face as Dale DaBone went down on her, fit the profile of the cast just fine here. Thankfully, she seemed to have fun with the blowjob portion of the sex since she acted like he was hurting her (not likely with a penis as average as his) during the actual boning. The outdoor scenery was nice (beside the usual pool) and the daylight managed to capture their looks fairly well but the scene itself lacked the kind of passion that fans want to see.

Scene Seven: Wet Teens 5: Angela Stone, a lean gal with an all natural body and light hair (strawberry blonde?), enjoyed studly Barrett Blade as he went down on her while the two were doing it on the couch. The generic nature of the settings shouldn't be that big a problem for most of you since the background makes up very little of the heat of a scene but it does get old to see the same stuff over and over (and over) again for me. That said, she showed some real passion for sex as she rode him hard after the oral. I wasn't into the pissing part of the scene but otherwise, she gave a solid performance that seemed truly enjoyable with oral and straight being the mainstays here.

Scene Eight: Young Stuff 2: Mandy Starr, the gal featured on the front DVD cover in the middle, had her scene with Chris Cannon on a couch. It started part way through, with him already deep inside her pussy with his tongue, but I never got the sense that I missed much since she went down on him afterwards. The penis insertion into her pussy seemed slower than usual and almost as if she was very new to porn but this was the first time I saw this scene thanks to the legal matters involving the DVD it was taken from (I believe that was the one with the underage performer that ultimately led to Simon Wolf nearly calling it quits in the porn world, only to be distributed by Pure Play Media as a result). It was a decent scene if you like performers that seem very new to sex though.

Scene Nine: Young Stuff 1: Michelle B., before she became an extreme queen that did almost anything in a scene, used her all natural body to get Joey Ray off after he gave her some oral loving. For the most part, it looked very much like the other scenes with the same type of action and techniques but she looked fresh enough here that even some of her critics would appreciate the skills she has since put on display for so many fans. The scene was oral and straight only with a solid facial at the end but still well worth watching for all of us, not just fans of Michelle.

Bonus Scene: Young Pink 6: Teagan Presley, the current contract star at Digital Playground, and manly (as well as hairy) Joey Ray, had a scene on a comfy armchair in a white room. The sex included anal and had a lot more heat and energy than I've seen in her other early scenes.

Summary: Ripe Juicy Teens was worth a rating of Rent It to me since I had seen so many of them before and they appeared somewhat generic at times. I also didn't care for the manner in which they were edited from their original length, unlike the advertising claims of "full scenes", but I'd be misleading you if I said a lot was cut away from the original scenes. I like Mr. Herrera's general formula for his scenes but it really does look like a mechanical formula when you have so many similar scenes being shown all at once which doesn't typically work for me. The cast though, were lovely and have largely gone onto bigger and better things as their talents have developed so this would be one way to see them before they became so mechanical in their performances.
