Extras: In terms of extras, the short, 3:28 minute long Behind the Scenes feature was the best for me. Shot by Jamal Jhonson and edited by Willem Default, it was a quick shot providing little of the company’s trademarked humor but I liked it for what it was too. The inclusion of a standard DVD will appease those who have yet to get a Blu-ray player but frankly, given the quality of upgrade and the current price of such devices, I doubt many reading this will be without one. There was also a photogallery and some trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Jack Attack was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 widescreen as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. The movie package included both the standard definition DVD as well as the Blu-ray disc, each looking good though the high definition version was a really nice upgrade. It was edited by Nick P. and looked just like the long running series Digital Playground used to champion, the production a flashback to the “good old days”. The 5.1 Surround audio was also clear in both versions of the movie, the difference less striking but the production sounded like the vocals, music, and ambient noises were all put together well enough, no one credited with this aspect of the movie as far as I could tell.

Body of Review: Robby D. is the sole director at Digital Playground these days, the technical consistency of his works a credit to him and his team. His latest movie in front of me is called Jack Attack, a retro title for attractive Riley Steele reminding me of the many former series the company used to produce for years. The idea here is that the ladies were all infatuated with getting in front of Jack’s (Robby D.) camera, trying to obtain their fifteen minutes of fame using the assets they were born with. Riley Steele and Bridgette B. were my big reasons for wanting this one but I’d be lying if I said Rikki Six, Natalia Starr, and Christy Mack were anything less than desirable fuck bunnies too. The back cover described the movie like this: “These girls will do anything once a camera is on them.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Riley Steele, the hotty blond contract gal featured on the center of the front cover, was up first with James Deen, her need for fame & fortune causing her to ditch her mesh top and bra as well as her tight blue jeans. The rest of the cast had short but sweet scenes too, the level of humor not quite as plentiful as the better volumes in the various “Jack” series but appealing all the same. That Rikki Six, Natalia Starr, Bridgette B., and Christy Mack were also present here was merely icing on the cake but even a quick look at the linked trailer will show you where that icing is likely to come from in your home. In short, Jack Attack had some pleasing fuck for the buck, a storyline tying the sexual trysts together so very lightly, and was a welcome departure from the story-lite features the company seems to focus on these days, perhaps a follow up title or two will pay homage to some of the related series regulars like Montel, Cody, and others. There was a running joke among reviewers years back regarding all the “Jack” series being tossed together out of whatever footage could be cobbled together, the current state of industry affairs proving the company was ahead of its time so I hope someone with vision plays up the comedy elements in any related titles coming down the pike, even a cursory look back to the source material reminding folks that there is a lot to draw from in that regard, especially if the company is going to provide this much fuck for the buck now.
