Audio/Video Quality: Real College Girls: 4 On 1 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color the four (yes, FOUR!) individual movies were shot in by director Bob Sima for Hustler Video. My biggest complaint for the movies of this series in general is that the scenes often look amateurish and as if they were done with a home video camera (and no extra lighting). The colors are faded, the focus random, and the scene composition lame but some people like that the sex appears more real (at least when established porn stars aren't the so-called "college girls"). This compilation of the first four volumes in the series, all jammed onto a single DVD (both sides, double layered), was no different than the typical volume of the series although I haven't seen these four volumes in order to compare the DVD mastering and other technical qualities to one another. Old porn is notoriously difficult to find in rental outlets since the general idea is to make your money fast, sell the old copies, and make room for new stuff with rare exceptions so forgive me if I couldn't compare them for you this time. If you want high end technical values, look elsewhere in the Hustler catalog. The audio was just about as weak with a basic English presentation that registered as stereo on my receiver but even using headphones; I heard no separation here on any of the volumes included.

Body of Review: Real College Girls is the Hustler Video series directed by porn director Bob Sima that attempts to provide a variety of college coeds to have sex after showing their school ID cards and having a short interview on their campus. Forget for a moment that some of them looked nothing like their picture on the ID card or that you can generally audit a single class on a non-academic basis to obtain a college ID; each scene provided some attempt at linking a gal to a campus before their scene. I know some schools are upset at the practice, especially given the possibility of some creepy stalker watching a scene and figuring he'd get some college pussy late at night (these aren't exactly great recruiting videos for quality students' folks). My biggest disappointment in the series was the increasingly frequent use of professional porn stars in the series, limiting the freshness factor substantially. Today's review is on an attempt to provide the infamous quantity over quality in Real College Girls: 4 On 1, the first four volumes of the series, only slightly edited to fit onto a single DVD. There were some technical issues with this approach, and I'd rather they provide a second disc or cut a weaker scene than truncate a scene starring a hotty like Felix Vicious (she's a well known porn star but a better fuck than most of the gals on the second side of the DVD), but that's splitting hairs considering the affordable nature of the DVD. If this sounds appealing, please note that there were few condoms in play here and the gals were sometimes pretty cute (though in dire need of a professional makeup job). Rather than tell you that almost every scene was the same sexually, with oral and vaginal sex (and a couple of anal scenes), suffice it to say that the following provides the college the gals were from and their partners if I could figure them out from the limited interviews:

Summary: Real College Girls: 4 On 1 was an attempt at providing a lot of fuck for the buck at the expense of quality. Depending on what you're looking for, the DVD really wasn't that bad a purchase but I like seeing quality technical matters more than most so I rated it as a Rent It. You can see early performances by some of the stars of today and yesteryear but a few of them were just about as gross as I ever want to see (or don't want to see) including Candy Cooze (I'd get a shot of penicillin if I so much as walked into the same room as her, yuck!). The technical failings aside, the generic set up of the scenes, the typical attempt to blame the government for not having enough handouts as the reason for the gals doing the scenes, and the lack of any truly standout performers in the four volumes were the worst culprits at the lower than average rating but give it a look if you're still interested.
