Audio/Video Quality: Sugar Mommas was presented in the same anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot by Robby D. for Digital Playground. Unlike some compilations on the market, this one cut right to the sex so each scene was edited to a degree, nothing crucial for the majority of rain coaters and no company watermark onscreen at all times but parts of the buildup missing. Each scene looked fairly similar with decent lighting, solid camera work, and respectable flesh tones but the scenes were shot quickly so your mileage may vary. The video bit rate varied considerably but the scenes looked much like I remember the originals otherwise if that helps your decision. The aural components were presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround but there was no headspace, special effects, or anything else that made me think the sound was rendered in anything except for monaural or basic stereo and then had a surround track encoded in post production. Regardless, I could hear most of the cast just fine, including those behind the camera when I paid attention, that always part of the fun of the series.

Body of Review: Robby D. has long been one of the most creative and talented directors in all of porn, his work for Digital Playground often way ahead of the pack of peers that would emulate just about anything he did. I have not heard from him in quite some time but wherever he ended up, his latest release from DP is an upcoming compilation of his older works called Sugar Mommas. The single disc release included over three hours of material, much of it strokable with a great cast in the eight scenes, the emphasis on seasoned ladies. I was surprised how few of the company’s previous contract starlets were represented here but with ladies like Julia Ann, Rayveness, and Lisa Ann around to inspire your self-love moments, there was some potential for fun here. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jack’s MILF Show: Devon Lee, Scott Nails: Devon Lee (right side of the front cover), was up last as she played Jack's aunt who wanted to lay out by the pool as lecherous Scott Nails eyed her. This led to a treasure hunt of sorts with the guys walking throughout the house looking for her, stopping to find her changing into a colorful orange and white bikini that got Scott excited. She caught them peeping on her and after some small talk, Jack explained that Scott was smitten with her. I know they were acting but it still had a creepy feel to it until the actual sex began (causing me to forget the dynamic involved). As MILF eye candy, she was among the best but the lack of substance lowered my rating of the movie which had been cruising pretty high based on the relative truth in advertising. It was a large load to the face that finished things up, her pretty green eyes appealing to me.

Scene Two: MILFlicious: Lisa Ann, Tommy Gunn, Scott Nails: The first scene in Milflicious features the gorgeous Lisa Ann kicking things off on the right note. The scene takes place in a brightly lit room with Lisa dressed for a hot summer day, but soon enough the clothes are piled on the floor and she's bearing herself for our pleasure. This opening scene wastes no time getting to the good stuff, and Tommy Gunn and Scott Nails come into the scene ready for action. Lisa obligingly sprawls out on a nearby sofa and finds herself sandwiched between the two. From this point the sex is quite energetic with plenty of screaming, moaning, and obvious pleasure being felt. Lisa in particular looks fantastic here and her killer body still impresses! Scene Three: MILFlicious: Sienna West, Manuel Ferrara: The final scene features Ferarra and Sienna bumping nasties in a sparse, bright living room. This one was the most unique scene in terms of filming and presentation. A static camera was used regularly along with POV elements and standard shots. The result was a dynamic round of sex with some solid performances on both parts. Sienna was quite attractive and offered some ethnic appeal, but her best asset here was her performance, which was really good. (review by Harry Johnson)

Scene Four: Mrs. Conduct: Rayveness, Johnny Sins: Rayveness, the bright-eyed beauty featured on the right hand side of the front cover, was up first as she gathered some milk and cookies for boy toy Johnny Sins. Scene Six: Mrs. Behavin’: Janine, Mandingo, Dexter Drizzle: Janine, dressed in the leopard print dress she wore on the front DVD cover, had a scene in the kitchen with Mandingo and Dexter Drizzle; set to music that reminded me a lot of Barry White. I would've preferred to hear the actual vocals and see the scene offered up in regular speed instead of slow motion but it admittedly looked significantly better (in terms of eye appeal if nothing else) to the recently released Janine's Been Blackmaled, where Janine also took on two black men although with condoms in that release. The guys double teamed her in the mouth and pussy (not with a DPP though) and she seemed to get off to the action more than a little bit. They thoroughly coated her face at the end with their large loads if that appeals to you.

Scene Seven: Mrs. Behavin’: Sara Stone, Nick Jacobs: Sara Stone, a cutie I don't think I've ever seen before, was up next with another fresh face, Nick Jacobs, when the two got into a tussle on the couch during a study session. Summary: Sugar Mommas by director Robby D. for Digital Playground was a dedicated compilation of scenes focusing on attractive MILFs regardless of what sex acts they partook in, the mileage varying considerably as to how good some scenes were. I rated the compilation as a very solid Rent It, my belief that unaltered scenes work best in their original context, enough of these pretty good too though. In short, Sugar Mommas was truthfully advertised as having a plethora of big titted babes with experience but there was no new material here and some of the scenes came across as edited versions so check it out to see if it merits your own approval before dropping cash on a copy.
