Audio/Video Quality: Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by directors Spock Buckton and Brian Bangs for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec for the standard definition release (using a standard 480 resolution). The lighting was usually optimal and it generally limited the grain, video noise, and shadows substantially. The composition of the shots was usually flattering to the ladies and given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the mid 4.4 Mbps area so it looked pretty solid, Melissa Monet handling art direction. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate of most productions. The music by Kevin McLeod was cute at times and the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Spock Buckton and Brian Bangs are better known as the Popporn duo, their witty online antics matched by the quality of their movies for companies like Third Degree Films. Their latest release making it my way is Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody, using the mainstream movie hit as a template to be tweaked, adjusted, and otherwise played with to add some pornified sweetness. From my experience, their all original movies have been among the best all of porn has to offer in the last few years but I thought if anyone could make this project work, it would be these guys. Considering they had a great lineup of ladies such as Raven Alexis, Sophia Santi, Tara Lynn Foxx, and others on hand, the likelihood that this would be a winner was quite high going into it. The back cover stated it like this: “When lovable nerds Louis and Gilbert embark on their freshman year at college, will they become the dick-swingin' studs they always wanted to be or will college just offer more humilation and embarrassment? 3rd Degree invites you on a journey where the nerds finally get even...one horny cheerleader at a time. Starring Raven Alexis, Lily LaBeau, Sophia Santi, Dana DeArmond, Tara Lynn Foxx and Brooklyn Lee, join Louis, Gilbert, Poindexter, Takashi, Booger and Lamar as one of the 80's most popular sex comedies gets the full porno treatment from POPPORN's own Brian Bangs and Spock Buckton. They've been laughed at, picked on and put down. Scene One: Raven Alexis, Brooklyn Lee, Marco Banderas, and Anthony Rosano, were up first in a makeshift dorm room, the jocks beating up the nerds before engaging in some carnal activities. Summary: Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody by directors Spock Buckton and Brian Bangs for Third Degree Films was a fun parody of a classic revenge movie that was truthfully advertised, contained a great cast and provided a good pornification of the entertaining original movie, it struck me that a rating of Highly Recommended was in order. The scenes varied in terms of replay quality and strokability but most of them were appealing enough to merit additional viewings, my belief that the directing team tends to fare better when shooting all original material (yet still manage to beat most seasoned parody directors at their own game when allowed to do so). In that sense, I wondered if there was anything these guys couldn’t pull off, their biggy of the year being the forthcoming “Man Vs. Pussy” that has made some big waves already. That said, Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody was a movie with five scenes, a comedic theme, and decent technical values so you really can’t lose by picking up a copy as a stroke flick or as a tribute to an amusing mainstream movie that spawned scores of far worse mainstream copies over the years.
