Extras: Ransom featured a 13 minute Behind the Scenes segment that helped you get to know the cast, director and all the work that went into the movie. This was the best feature to me since you got to take a look at all the hard work that went into making the movie. The film is of a dramatic nature you got to see everyone hamming it up as well. It also included a nice photo gallery, A ransom Trivia game (which you can't actually select an answer to), Ransom Trailers and the option of only playing the sex scenes.

Audio/Video Quality: Ransom was shot in High Definition anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen by Bishop for West Coast production After Dark Pictures. I noticed some grainy-ness on the video but I THINK it was an editing effect. The audio was clear in most parts although sometimes I felt the background music was set too high and I could not clearly hear the dialog. I would like to note the title had very nice menus. I find DVD menus a very important part of a movie as it is my first visual impression of what to expect. These did not fail and quickly got me excited to see the dramatic tail unfold. They also convey to me how much a company cares about all aspects of the movie.

Body of Review: Ransom, as far as I know, is the first high budget all black feature. Personally knowing Bishop made me have high hopes for this movie since I know he considers himself to be very detail oriented. I saw the trailer many months ago and have been looking forward to the movie ever since. It seems that West Coast Productions via its Afterdark pictures label has taken an interest in the All Black couples friendly market with this release. With West Coast being THE name in all black titles I am sure they will only increase their strong fan base. The back of the box reads “Sex, Lies, & Betrayal! Generally when things fall apart is when most people back out of a bad situation, but for hired kidnappers Quincy (Tyler Knight) & Diesel (Nat Turner), they just get further involved. The boss secretly hires these two to stage a kidnapping of his wife (Jasmine Cashmere) so her father can pay the ransom to get her back, but they end up accidentally shooting & killing his daughter (Marie Luv) in the process. When big boss man (Lee Bang) finds out his daughter is dead, he makes those two pay dearly.”

Scene One: The movie opens with Q (Tyler Knight) and Diesel (Nat Turner) clearly having been assaulted and being held at gun point in a car by two henchmen. They are being taken to their boss and it seems their lives hang in the balance. After a failed attempt at offering cash to get out of this situation they being to tell their story via flash backs, from both persons point of view. First up we find out how Q ended up on a kidnapping job. During the playback of how this came to be he meets up with who has been hired to be his driver for the job. This driver is hotter then any other kidnapper I have seen and her name is Roxy (Marie Luv). After a rough introduction filled with distrust they break the ice by getting down to the action. The scene starts with oral on Roxy and she looks great. It quickly transitions into spoon. Marie Luv has an incredible body that you can tell she takes care of. They move into cowgirl with lots of dirty talk flowing through the scene. Then into 69 with some smothering and onto doggy. There is a lot of heat in this scene. Pairing these two performers created a lot of chemistry. The cramped space of shooting a scene inside a van did not create the best angles at all times. It also seemed to cause some iffy audio. But the heat of the scene carried it though to a nice finish of a pop on the booty.

Scene Two: Back to the story, Q tells of how him and Roxy went on to pick up Diesel (Nat Turner). Diesel is the first to break into the house to tie down the kidnap victim and you quickly realize they know each other. The victim (Jasmine Cashmere) tells Diesel he is late while she has obviously been waiting for him on the stairs in lingerie. Diesel walks up the stairs and immediately drops his pants and the blow job starts. First he is a bit flaccid but Cinnamon’s deep throating action quickly fixes that. She bends over on the stairs for some doggy. She does a lot of the work in this position and seems to be pretty talented. Part of the heat of the scene is the two were so into it she never even takes of her panties, they just pull them to the side. The two-some crawls to the top of the stairs for some reverse cowgirl. Switch to some pussy to mouth action with some more BJ and onto some standing doggy with her being propped up over the stair railing. This scene ended in a cream pie finish. This was a solid scene with some good chemisty mixed with some excellent skill by Jasmine.

Scene Three: Back to the story but from Diesel’s point of view this time. He starts telling the Hench men he thinks he got set up. After his good time with Cinnamon he uses a chemical on a rag to make her pass out. He then alerts Roxy and Q to come in from the back. Diesel and Roxy start tying up the victim while Q goes to scope the house. I am guessing the bondage-esq action of tying up Cinnamon turned on Diesel and Roxy because they quickly start making out. Then it cuts to showing you that Q is looking in drawers in the house. Then back to Roxy and Diesel they are already naked and starting in spoon position next to the passed out and bound Cinnamon. After spoon there is some PTM with deep throat blow job action and ball play. They start kissing again and go into standing doggy. Then it cuts again to showing Q looking through drawers and he finds a gun. This cutting back and forth kind of takes some of the heat out of a hot scene. Back to standing doggy ending in a facial pop. There was some techno-ish music playing during this scene which seemed a little annoying to me. Marie Luvs performances appear to be a little over the top, yet genuine. She seems to really enjoy her scenes, which is a nice change of pace. After the pop Q comes in with the gun he found and Roxy grabs it and accidentally shoots herself.

Scene Four: The boss man (Lee Bang) is pissed it’s taking his Hench men so long to return with the two idiots that foiled the kidnapping. After he slams down his phone in his office he needs to release some stress and asks his two secretaries (Kianna Jade and Raven Sky) to oblige. It starts with a Bj that very quickly turns into doggy. PTM and help from the other girl help this scene move forward. Lee takes turns back and forth with each girl and each girl helps keep the other girl in the mood. After a few switches from girl to girl the scene ends with a large pop on one girls butt dripping down onto the other girls face. While most of the other scenes lacked dramatic close-ups, this scene seemed to be comprised mostly of them. I get the impression someone else shot this scene. The scene also appeared to be a bit yellow and green, but I am unsure if this was intentional or not. After the boss man is done with the lovely ladies he throws them out. I found this scene to be the least hot. It has good action and nice close-ups, but something lacked in the connection in the performers.

Scene Five: Back to the story, both Q and Diesel are explaining what happened next. They took Cinnamon to an abandoned warehouse where they were supposed to wait a few days for a phone call. Once there Diesel’s Girlfriend showed up. After a few nights Diesel had fallen a sleep early and Q snuck Diesel’s girlfriend (Jackie Brown) off to the other room to kill time in a much more fun fashion. The scene starts with some nice foreplay and a little cuteness with the two of them being stuck in their clothes trying to get out of them quietly as not to wake Diesel. They move right into doggy and then some PTM with blow job and titty fucking action. Cut to Diesel sleeping in the other room. Cut back to cow girl and standing missionary. The scene ends with a pop on Jackie’s nice natural breasts. They sneak back up without getting caught by Diesel. This scene was pretty grainy, I am not sure if this was a lighting issue or another intentional thing done by the editor as the color was off as well. The two Hench men bust in at that moment and you see how they ended up battered and stuck in the car. They all finally make it back to the Big Bosses place and he deals out the punishments. I won’t ruin the ending by giving away all the details of this kidnapping gone wrong.

Summary: Ransom by Bishop for West Coast productions Afterdark label had a great script, awesome cast, good acting and you can see a lot of effort was put into this high end feature. I feel it is great for couples as well, since it’s got a nice amount of plot that isn’t boring for the ladies and lots of hot sex for the men. I give this movie a Recommended. The only reason it is not highly recommended is I felt that it was over edited which lead to taking the heat out of some of the scenes and it had some audio ups and downs. I also felt the extras should have been beefed up on this high end feature. The movie ended with “to be continued ..”, I am sure given a little more audio adjustment, removing the cuts to non sex in the middle of a sex scene and calming down on some of the editing effects will surely put part 2 into the highly recommended category.
