Pure Taboo. So much has been said about this #TripleX studio that has gone both sides of the coin. On one hand, you have fans who have been rooting for this company’s creation and now that it is here, are clamoring at every possible moment to praise the mind and pen of Bree Mills with the direction of Craven Moorehead. Now, before we even talk about the darkness of what some say about the creation of these films, I will tell you that the performers that have taken part in these films, the staff that has been a part of everything from marketing to editing are simply the cream of the crop in the adult world.

The trailers have so much depth that you can honestly put them up against some production companies’ entire film and you will find more effort, more passion, and more lust. The name says it all. Pure Taboo is looking to go places that few ever dare in this business and that is making true cinema, like the days of yore. Bree Mills has simply had the Midas touch with every project she has taken on and as we approach awards season 2018, we will see how the critics view her work of time and love that is the fast rising branch of Gamma Entertainment.

I will be honest with you, there was hesitance from my part as I decided to review my first Pure Taboo film. I am by all means a romantic but what is great about this business and what I felt I owed this to it, is lending my opinion to what others find as romantic and beautiful. That is the wonder of this industry. Prom Night has the edgy feel of something unsettling and brilliant all at the same time. The cast includes some of the most amazing actors and after slipping in the DVD into its player, you are truly snagged by a score that is creepy as fuck. What better way to shock the senses than by starting things off with a sinister melody? Here we go.

#TripleX Appetizers: The photography that accompanies these scenes is so beautiful and soft on the eyes. It is true art and any lover of art would say so, I do not care if you are into the erotic side of things or not. There is a decent amount for two scenes and these shots are not heavy in terms of kink but are a wonder in terms of majesty. These extras are for the true art lovers of the industry. If you want the straight sex, stick with the film. The trailers that accompany the film are great, they add a desire to see more but with such a great reputation for film creation and story, I was hoping to see more BTS. This was at the start of the Pure Taboo onslaught so I can see things from their side as to why such a thing would not be included.

Chapter 1: Prom Night

The Reveal:

The story of the school loser has never been shown better in adult cinema. Whitney Wright, she will one day take home an acting trophy, that is a cannot miss when foretelling of her future. The brilliance in her character is in everything from the way she talks to how her mouth never moves when she talks. The dialogue is well rehearsed, and the story grabs you. You do begin to catch feelings in many ways with this character. Kyle Mason is not half bad as the dumbass jock who has no clue, no heart and no idea of what the audience hopes, is what is in store. Oh, I shit you not, the trailers tell you something sinister and squeamish is coming but this true student of film knows better, or at least, perhaps like the many fans out there, hopes that something dark awaits Kyle. His character has the look of a moron from first glance, I mean he sells the character of an idiot well. Whitney is badass, going all out loner as she picks her corsage as she knows not what to do with the popular jock who rules the school.

The dark lights of Los Angeles in the early hours of the morning begin to take you to the erotic side of the film. Whitney’s character is the innocent beyond belief and the fact that you see Whitney acting as if she does not know how to kiss looks as real as it gets. That is the true wonder of this scene. The videography and cinematography are amazing.

 The Encounter:

As we soon discover, Kyle has a hidden agenda and that is to bring out something fierce and sexual in Whitney. The car arrives to find that Cody Steele, Robby Echo, and Matt Sloan are waiting. Now, this scene has a warning that comes before the film roles, it should not but hey, we live in a politically correct world correct? The males are all trying to pressure Whitney into doing the slutty thing and she stays in character as the nerd who wants to simply take part in something with the cool kids. The lighting is horrible, and it should be, they are telling a story and that is the selling factor of this scene. The mood is aggressive, but it does not go to boundaries that are overboard. It stays sexy and rough and truthfully, this style of rough sex is not different than what you would find in a gonzo series from another company. It just has a different feel because the story is so good.

Now, I must be honest, it is unique to see not every male performer with a pulsating hard on. It is so different to see in an adult film. The camera coverage is hard to get caught up in the fantasy. When it scales back to the third camera the shot is fuzzy. The editing keeps the pace, but it is so different to see. The group scores mega points for originality but loses some when moving “around the horn” in this group scene. The sex has some hardcore elements, but it falls short of true hardcore. Hardcore is not my cup of tea and a lot of this scene gets you halfway there but not all the way. Halfway through this group activity, we do start to see the action get a little get kinkier and a little bit more intense.

This is an extremely hard scene to shoot and this is a location beyond difficult to perform at. I think that fans of all types of passions will not be able to latch on at any angle. The shining points in this scene are taken for granted as well. We do not see a great end to the story, Whitney’s amazing acting does not go anywhere. It is not allowed to by the story that leaves you hanging. Whitney looks amazing. I mean she is one of the most gorgeous women on the planet and these studs that accompany her, they are a chiseled like the statue of David and even they cannot save this scene with their looks alone, nor with the tempo finally coming in the last ten minutes of the scene.

When you hear Whitney say she is going to cum, there is a collective sigh that puts the male talent in the zone, but it is far, far to late.  The camera work, the lighting, the lack of angles and the fact it does not get to the land of extreme truly makes this one of the worst vignettes of 2018. I can not believe I am saying this. I really cannot. As chapter two awaits, for the first time in a long time, I was very slow to press play for part two. I am at a loss for words with the last scene.

Chapter 2: The Deflowering

The Reveal:

Five minutes in, we are on the edge of our seats. Piper and Robby are star-crossed lovers enjoying an anniversary romp through their new mansion. Piper is amazing as the innocent, naïve girlfriend without a care in the world. Few in the real world can play this role better than Piper and it has nothing to do with her size, her frame, her look. She knows how to see her character in her look, her jumps, and the way she can make frolicking believable. She is an amazing actress who I see truly going the route of Little Cinderella, maybe even further if she sticks with it. Robby Echo, his hair, his voice, he has all the mannerisms of the nerd boyfriend who goes too far. The man who is simply looking to be walked all over on, the sinister look as he closes the door to his bedroom, along with Small Hands' amazing opening tells us that there is some cool shit about to go down in porno-land.

This is truly one of the best set-ups I have ever seen produced by Bree Mills and Mr. Craven Moorehead. The plot is believable, very well acted. Johnny and Mr. Hands are superb as the “bad boys” of the group. They truly spark realism and I can see many female fans enjoying their acting as Piper offers her virginity to pay the debts of a boyfriend who is in way over his head to make some loot. There is comedy, there is drama, there is edginess. This cast looks amazing as we begin to see this encounter unfold and the way that everything is set up, you are drooling before even one piece of skin is shown in lust. Now that is how you start a film.

The Encounter

This is exactly what a hardcore story, with hardcore players, should turn into. There are stiff cocks every which way you can see, and Piper is at the top of her game in this scene. The fellas are brilliant as they stay in character and really draw the kink and lust out of the character that Piper is playing. The head is five star and there is not one second where Piper is not wowing the crowd in some way. The chemistry of all four performers is amazing. It takes every single one making the other keep their A game rolling to make this scene so exciting to watch. The sex is five stars from start to finish in this scene. This is what you want to see, a vocal woman who has the innocence melt away over the scene and even more so, this group of males combines in so many ways to make this scene enjoyable. They all stay in character and they all lead the way as to how the sex is going to go. The domination of the mind with Piper’s character is amazing. Robby Echo and Small Hands steal the show. When the hooligans let Robby have his turn to play, it adds even more steam to the sex stew of man meat and Piper’s amazing body being moved around, contorted and dominated and as Piper gets more into the sex the more you may not be able to finish this scene but for a whole other reason that the one in the first scene.

One of the coolest fucking things I have ever seen is watching Robby stop, getting turned off and then stepping back like the idiot jealous boyfriend does. I mean this scene is alive with emotion and it is acted out so brilliantly. Robby gets angry because his girl is getting pleased at every possible angle and he is getting jealous. Oh, if this is not a topic of modern society, I do not know what is. The boys are not harming this beauty you begin to see but liberating her. I can only imagine how hard it was to film this scene each guy on this set did an amazing job. This is group sex done the right way. The performers are always making this scene live with the small interactions that make porn what it is.

No matter the angle, you always hear Piper licking, sucking or smooching. This makes the viewer's mind take over and talk about an aphrodisiac, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. That truly is what makes this scene one of the best group scenes of 2018. This is what the fans want from Pure Taboo. That is exactly where this scene goes. It takes your mind into many different states and all of them are places the mind does not go quite often.

When you see Piper take command and cream all over Mr. Hands' manhood, the scene once again bounces you off another wall and you are welcoming the bruising. Bree and Craven really did something magical with this. I have never seen anything like it. They delicately walk a tightrope of hardcore and sensuality and they do it well, entertaining the hell out of the masses. When you see the action go from cow-girl to reverse, prepare to have your night planned, you will be inoperable for most activities after this side of the disc starts to play. The sex finishes in the aggressive style that it starts and the way that the story ends is superb. I mean this is what I was expecting to see in scene one. This part was amazing, it is truly something wonderful.

Sight and Sound:

The first scene has some ups and downs in the technical specs. Gamma has one of the best damn editing teams in the world and my goodness, they always piece things together so splendidly. The lighting is a killer and there are moments where the shots take us to places, we do not want to be, but this scene had to be difficult to shoot. Scene two, my goodness, it is like night and day. Every bit of action is caught perfectly and where the cameras take you and my oh my do things look ever so yummy. It is truly one of the best shot scenes of 2018 and the way that we get to see perfection, it truly adds so much to the second scene no matter how fast or slow the pace goes.

Don Juan’s Bottom Line:

I simply do not know what to say. I can only refer to the above line, “it is like night and day.” Scene one has the buildup of something very special. Whitney Wright, she is a true talent beyond words. An artist who gets better with every scene or film I have watched her in. I never thought I would say this because I have heard many stories of how a film set is and been on a few where this is caught behind the scenes and I am sure most true fans have heard the same thing. When you are seeing a male talent that cannot get hard, my goodness, it sucks you right out of the fantasy.

The lines delivered by Kyle Mason are misplaced and well off cue. Why does this matter? This is a company that is making a pure story and when that acting is luke-warm at best the scene suffers and takes away from everything else. Yes, Whitney Wright is sexy as can be, yes, these studs all look like chiseled pieces of granite that any lady would want to be installed as their kitchen countertop. That is all lost to the bad story, the bad acting and the sex that can never get going for reasons I can not even claim to know. The only thing I can say is that the opening dialogue and the last fifteen minutes of sex are superb but that is too little for an hour-long vignette.

Now, scene two is simply the exact opposite. You have everything mixed with precision and the story is one of the coolest that I have seen this 2018 year. The way that the performers gel together, it is something amazing. Every piece of nasty, kinky sex is captured and with Small Hands and Piper Perri leading this great cast, the film gains a ton of merit when it comes to your hard-earned dollar as a fan. With the magic that is scene two, I will say that the film is taken to a “Watch On-Demand” grade. Online, you will find it a better bargain for your dollar than buying the DVD. Pure Taboo showed some brilliance in this film. It is a bold move to go where they are. As I sit down and get ready to view all of their nominated work for award season, I must say I am excited. This film shows that filmmaking is coming back and not just that, there are actors in this business that truly can handle the load placed upon their shoulder to create great scenes and fantasy. This film and studio have me intrigued. Let us see what else they have in store for I think an online visit is well warranted.
